Chemistry Needed
Unless Rafa finally understands what every other coach of every team in every sport in the world understands, that team chemistry is vital, we won't win a thing. He had to pick a team and stick with it. Let them learn each other's moves and moods. Let them work together, get a confidence in each other and then finally Liverpool will field a great side. But this constant switching, changing and altering lineups is perhaps the dumbest coaching move in history. It won't work. It won't win a thing.

At the risk of being ridiculed again, I say get rid of the manager. Rafa had more than enough time and money to put together the ultimate dream team and he failed miserably. Most of the players, are great individual technicians but they just don't click as a team and our visionary managers plays them in the wrong position all the time. Never mind how much Babbel is costing us at this point of time, i think Rafa has coast the club and us the fans all the major prizes we could have won this year and many more to come. Criticalmind says" Rafa is not a fool and that he knows what he is doing, I say Criticalmind must live on another planet or he is related to the Benitez's family. It is abundantly obvious, we MUST... MUST... MUST get rid of Benitez he is not a fool, he is a total moron who through some desperate negotiations managed to weasel his way into a job he cant handle, and now he is milking it for what its worth. The man wouldn't be able find his way out of a wet paper bag. The league is full of ambitious and talented managers that will jump to the opportunity; some one like Sven Ericsen who managed to weave his magic at MC with half our resources and produced some respectable results and only in a couple of months or Wegner how achieved the impossible with a team of virtual unknowns. Wake up people... Rafa is a walking disaster and its much worse now with out Pako. I shudder to think as to what is being said within the clubs' walls as we speak. I am sure they are not singing words of praise.

i too am frustrated at rafa. but its not yet time for him to go. at the end of the season then i will judge him. critical mind has had alot of critism from me latley but alot of the time he talks sense, you dont like rafa fair enough but he is going nowere yet, so like all of us its a waiting game, i am not happy either , so for me its the end of the season then there will be no excuses....

Had we played Babel and Benayoun against Arsenal, we would not have got a chance to construct and arsenal would have had bagged 4-5 goals from the very beginning like it was against porto when Rafa tried to set up an attacking teams with torres, babel and pennant.
Its clear that Rafa played kuyt and voronin to break arsenal conter attack, and that worked well till the lasts minutes when voronin was substituted with benayoun and mascherano got injured.

you have answerd your own question. we were at home, we are l,pool not just anyone, we should be attacking teams and winning, they should be stoping us play not the otherway round. be honest arsenal play the way we should. pass and move like we use to.kuyt and vorinin did nothink in that game, would arsenal.play them no no top team would. at porto we played shite too but then we were the away team. i know you are only trying to protect rafa fair enough, but for me he has got to the end of the season and if things donot improve i want him out. if they do well fair enough..

On that thing i agree with you, Rafa has till the end of the season to prove his worth or shown exit door as soon, if he seems to be out of idea.
But still, i'd say with babel and benayoun we would have had lost heavily, i don't like defending Rafa coz his plans don't work all the time, and he has started to see that he also.. but we can play with babel and benayoun only after our passes gets better, and none of us knows whats the situation on the training ground, how can we say for sure they are in their best form for the moment, and that they would have been superhero against arsenal???

Lucas did a great work in construction, had he made an error, everybody would have started criticising him from his very first match.

Not sure exactly but steve finnan and lfc website stating it will be very soon, sooner than the 2-3wks of torres, so reading between the lines on the website i think were looking at 1-2wks eddie maybe just over, so maybe back for the fulham game, which means he is out for cardiff,besiktas,blackburn, maybe fulham, but if going to plan back for newcastle, thank christ. The question Liverpool fans have to ask this summer is whether Benitez's negative defence orientated football is good enough for Liverpool.
Real Madrid won the league and sacked Capello because they were too big and important to accept dour football. Chelsea decided the same thing and Mourinho's ugly football was sacked.
Benitez is into his 4th season of building a Liverpool team. Many people were amazed at how poor we were against Arsenal passing the ball. That's because Benitez spends most his time making the team concentrate on defensive duties rather than what to do with the ball. Xabi Alonso was a beautiful passer of the ball when he arrived. Benitez has made him into just another machine who tackles and keeps the shape of the team.
We lack flair and imagination because our manager lacks flair and imagination. Even if he was in charge of that Arsenal teal within a few mpnths they would lose their style because Rafa would do nothing but defensive work in training. The gulf was massive last Sunday and will remain massive while we have such a defensive obsessed manager.
Chelsea won 6-0 against Man City, a result Mourinho would not have got because he too is obsessed with negativity. Now the Chelsea team are ammowed to play football instead of being treated like machines they will improve. So will our players if Benitez is sacked THIS SUMMER. He gets his best results against big Europen teams when he can defend for most of the macth as he loves to do. When we have to go and beat teams you see Benitez hasn't a clue how to create a team with style and flair.
Marcello Lippi had a brilliant Juve team in the mid 90s that played great football ad won titles. He's the man Liverpool FC need this summer. Quaresma, Owen; Woodgate, Bridge and Anelka are players we need.

The players you mentioned are no better than what we have, bridge and woodgate had great potential and are not worth the risk at this stage with their injuries, Owen is and i would be doing everthing behind the scenes to steal him back, quaresma is obvious choice but would he come, i said b4 only if he stops diving, wants to play in winter cold months and isnt going to act like a premadonna.
your comments about benitez are well thought and if honest i dont like posts claiming for the bosses head, but i do accept critisisum and you do have some valid points, Alonso is one of my favs and i disapointed in him playing to negative, but i still dont think everything is greener on the other side, we do play counter attacking footy, but rafa has said this down to not having the players, well this season he has no excuse so we will see if we go for it. we put 6 past derby remember and 4-2 in cup against reading, so we enjoy our footy to when we have all our guys back.

Kuyt and Crouch against blackburn???
They were completely useless against blackburn last year, kuyt missed so many occasion, did you noticed any change in him, or see that he will score?? I don't see such a case.
I did not watched the Cardiff game, but as all fans were asking, Babel was played upfront, where are the gtoals from babel?? Did he played well as a striker, do u guys see the goals coming out of him soon if he continues as a striker?

I did said if Benitez play Kuyt upfront there will be no goals..he is SHIT as a striker, ompletely useless upfront and misses so many occasion, i still regret the 10 million benitez paid for him. Benitez is putting too much confidence in him like was the case with Crouch in his first season, and am afraid we may see goals from kuyt only after5-6 months coz he is worst than Crouch, and like that season, we may end up once again 5th or 6th in the league.
As for Crouch, as i was saying last year, we need to change the 19 other teams of the league and replace all of them with wigan or likes of toulouse to see Crouch start scoring.
At home we play defence, away we play defence...will the team ever looked like one which want to win things??? I don't want rafa out till the season finish, but i do want him to get a heart attack like houlier so that we can see some new things in liverpool.

With savage and santa cruz out with injuries, we must take advantage, and 3pts is the only thing, they got danger men in mccarthy and bently who playing well this season. They also picked up good results against top teams, spurs/chelsea/arsenal and managed to beat brum city and pompey, which we couldnt so on form they should be looking to beat us. But we must go all guns blazing, its no good giving them the confidence to lauch a champs league campaign we are suffering enough with man citys charge this season. We must start to show the others who we are. They think we are weak and vulnerable at the moment so time to reasert our position on the league standings.

Reason i go with kewell is he is he has a point to prove, and would like to see, pace with babel and height with crouch up front, see if that compo works, babel drifts wide and kewell likes to cut in so could work well, plus those two are interchangeable.

I think Eddie it would be pointless to sack him now and ruin our season completely. Most people with a brain can see our shite strikers and negative play won't beat Ferguson and co.. to the Premier league title but he will get til June to prove us wrong.
Rafa has only been top for ONE week in 3 and a bit seasons so it's very obvious he's doing something very wrong. Even Sven Erickson seems to know English football much better than Rafa.
If Benitez doesn't buy at least one quality striker at Xmas then the team won't get near the league title qnd Rafa should be sacked in June.
If the team were playing good football every week and missing chances we would all forgive a lot quicker. But shite football and shite strikers like the REJECT Dirk Kuyt will cost Benitez his job.
My only concern is we'll hear the same shite we heard in Houllier's 4th year about more time. When you're doing something wrong like Benitez always does in the Premier league then time doesn't matter. Like Houllier, Benitez is too far up his own arse to accept Kuyt and Veronin and Crouch, his signings; aren't nearly good enough for Liverpool to win a title.
All the while class players like Owen and Analka rot away at shite clubs like Bolton and Newcastle because Benitez is a negative DOUR moron. 4 years is long enough to build the team you want. Benitez has built a team devoid of imagination which only come alive when it's backs to the wall stuff. Marcello Lippi is someone Ferguson fears. The Italian has won everything at club level and even the World Cup for Italy. He is the best manager we could dream of to rival Ferguson. We need Marcelo Lippi this June and Liverpool will then get back to the level we belong at.

Let Crouch be given a couple of games and you'll see some people back asking why did rafa played such a shit striker, he is certainly no better than kuyt...both of them missed their chances, the proof is there...playing well is not what ounts its goal that matters...Kuyt and Crouch are both rotten eggs, so why blame rafa if he did not had 100 million to buy more quality strikers. Lets give him time till june and see.
Heskey superior to Kuyt
Look at Heskey's first two seasons at Anfield; he got 18 and then 23 goals.
Kuyt is along with Morientes and Baros the worst striker I have seen at Anfield for a long time. Cisse would drive you mad but at least in his lunacy you knew he could get goals.
