Cisse is gone on loan and hopefully we'll be selling him for good. he of all players is certainly not the answer to all our problems, which are not as bad as the start of the season if you notice. 3rd in the league says alot when you have started badly

i think that cisse was shocking for liverpool, with occasionl moments of magic eg vs monaco and west ham cup final. but he is a carbon copy of douif, a houliier signing, lots of money, but nothing to show for it. peter crouch, 7mil. bellamy, 6mil. kuyt, 10mil. cisse, 14mil? i think it was a stupid buy, which rafa could not help as the deal was already done. the way we are going at the moment is good, back to third and catching chelsea but i think crouch is wasted on the bench. but who do you drop with bellamy and kuyt in top form?

He has been scoring recently, but he gets caught offside too much.
I think Crouch should be getting a game, as whilst no one can doubt Kuyt's work rate, he does miss alot of chances and he was fortunate that the ball bounced back to him for Alonso's goal, as it was a crap shot after that run.

it was a good game and yes we should have taken our chances but that is something we will put right as the season develops. hopefully in the january window we can off load crouch and put that money to a decent experienced prem forward regardless of age. obviously it would have been nice to come away with something .. but with the players to come bk in the new year and the poss of new faces we should be alright!!

why would rafa ever get Owen back? We need reliable strikers, which accident prone micheal Owen is definitely not! As for Hesky, I hope we're never that desperate to get him back, he was good for a while, a short while, and how many goals has he scored so Far this season, exactly?! If we need anyone, it's certainly not Owen OR heskey. never mind both.

How many times does rafa have to say he does not want a new striker, and that Crouch is not going for anyone to believe it?
I am getting fed up with reading constant bollocks all the time , Rafa and Rick Parry have said they dont know how much they are getting to spend, so why do silly figures keep getting thrown about?
Benitez has shown in the past he doesnt spend big money, or let other clubs take him for a ride, so why now we might be getting new owners does everyone have to come out with lie after lie about whos coming/going?

To be honest the only thing really concerning me is when and if liverpool get taken over..will other clubs do what they do with chelsea and the mancs and up their prices?..Rafa is a sensible spender and has proven it but what if u have money and loads of it ,would u spend 18.5 mill on a midfielder who is worth 5 mill ??

there have been rumours in various newspapers that newcastle are interested in crouch, understandable as they are having a lot of trouble since Owen has been injured. I personally am hoping this is not just idle gossip from Tabloids wishing to fill up their back pages. Crouch is a liability and little else

totally agree....there's been a fair few stories in the media past few days too so hopefully there'll be somethin' in them! if we can offload him and get in david villa that'll improve the squad. i think we should be looking at huntelaar at ajax as well....

instead of getting them for 50 million id rather we get sinama and cisse back they were great when the were on form and cisse is probably faster than any forward in the epl ..lets keep it real ppl and not go over board thinking of players who would probably keep us in debt for the rest of our lives and then god forbid get screwed like leeds did !

Well said lad. We are meant to be a club going forward. Why go back wards. Cisse might be fast when he can be bothered. He was very lazy. And I won't even comment on Sinama. Utd and Chelsea don't worry about if they will get into debt by buying top players. Surely we earn as much as United as a club. Chelsea spend stupid money, granted. Torres would show our intentions of winning the league. Say what ya want about United Chelsea and Arsenal but who have dominated English football for the past 10 years????

While cisse is generally a good player in his last few games for Liverpool he didnt perform well enough. we saw leading up to the summer that he is a selfish plyer and liverpool never seem to have 'individual'players who play for themselves. he is not the answer to our problems. Benitez would have sold him this summer anyway if he hadn't broken his leg and he is settling in better in france than he did in england.
