Garcia is the opportunistic player that has contributed a lot for liverpool..just remember his goal against Chelsea..and a lot of others...he scores as compared to players like alonso...Its much more important to get goals than possesion...he can still stay at liverpool as cover for kewell on the left side..and his capability to change to the right side during the match is a plus thats lots of players don't have..at least he is adventurous though at times he lose the ball easily..But are we not finally happy when he scores and win us the matches throughout which he makes us pull our hairs ;)
Think its not time for him to leave yet... Whats the use of having torres without such a good winger like garcia??? Think of the excellent creative pair they can form..i can even see Garcia and Torres playing together..
i think he has done well for liverpool, i would rather he stay but i think he wants to go.also i hope rafa, has got a player/s to take his place. mancini, or quesmmera from roma will do if garcia does go i wish him well.
Love watching him play at times, other times he frustrated me to hell,
scored some cracking goals (the one against Norwich City were the City fans were laughing until it went in the net) will miss the little man.
Good luck Luis hope to see more of your goals even though its for a lesser team, YNWA.
just read rafa wants heinze from the mancs. hope not he is crap and at 29 on the way out.everytime i have seen him play, he,s dirty overrated and over here. madrid are welcome to him. no thanks rafa.
I would agree with the sale of Garcia if it brings in Torres, then I would see Benayoun take Garcia's place. As far as Heinze is concerned, he's a better left back than any we have now. He's the same age as Carra and Finnan and he's nine years younger than Poalo Maldini. So you can't really say he's too old. Heinze would be a good signing. Can't see the mancs letting him go to us though.
I think Luis Garcia is a very good sub to come off the bench and make things happen, but he couldn't hold down a 1st team place the amount of time he gives the ball away. I'd prefer him to stay but if we have to sell him to get Torres so be it.
I'd take Heinze if he was from anyone else but I dislike touching a player that played for the Mancs. He is too fond of them I think to move to Anfield. We need a left back but I would avoid any dealings with the scum whatsoever. I can't remember the last time there was direct dealing between the two clubs for a player. Long may it remain that way.
We definitely need another striker in my eyes. A poacher who'll hang around the box. Torres isn't prolific despite his quality. And we need a left winger. We're not as desperate on the right wing wth Gerrard and Pennant but I'm sure we'd all like to see Simao or Shaun Wright Phillips arrive. Also a centre back to push Agger and Carra for their positions as Sam is just cover now rather than pushing for a place.
If a good player wants to sign from any team I'd take him. Weather it's Rooney, Ronaldo, Heinze or whoever there next star is. If he's a good player and wants to play for us, whats the problem? Open your eyes my friend. I can't see the mancs selling to us but I wouldn't be surprised if Rafa stuck in a bid just on the off chance they'd except. I'd rather be buying players off Man U and Chelski than West Ham and Charlton.
While I agree Philk14 that we should always sign good players, the reality is Man Ure and Pool don't do business for first team players. I can't remember a time when they did.
So whoever the player is, neither club ever try to sign off each other because the rivalry is too big. And I like it that way. Because I don't want to be cheering a Liverpool player and buying his shirt knowing that next season he could be playing for Man Ure.
As things stand we know that won't happen because the clubs do no business. But if you open the door things change. There's good players elsewhere; we don't need any being ditched from Old Trafford.

Thats how it seems to be...some poor old guy who don't want to spend or show any ambitions...they just want to make money by selling tickets in the 60000 seats liverpool stadium!!
West Ham Proprietor is ready to splash millions on low profile players like Bent or Cisse..
And Man City new prop Sinawatra..seems to have lauched a bid for Torres according to some newspapers...
ManUre..Prop Glazer has break the bank to bring unknown players like Nani or anderson for terrific sum of money..
What has liverpool owners brought yet..Freebies like Varaonin..or a bunch of kids who wont make more than one year at liverpool...
If the deals are taking so much time its because Liverpool is waiting to sell and make money before buying..so whats the use of the new Proprietors??? This could have been done under the Moore's management also!!!
It seems like the club is owned by American beggars now, Unfortunately :(
i can see were you got the name, from critcal mind from. i think rafa wants to secure torres first then you will see others come in.he wants players to fit his jig saw ie, torres and 2 wingers, and a defender. i think if rafa didnot get what he wanted he would have walked. we will have to wait and see in the next few weeks who we bring in and if they are the right players, we can all stop moaning. well it wont stop everone. because we all have the players we like and dislike, i do know that spanish people like to take things very slow, very laid back. i know this as it took me ages to buy a house there
I think it would be stupid to spend so much money for a player who as never one anythink or proved at the top level like in the championes league.26million is way to much for a player who we dont no if he could cut it in the premership.Look at morientes.I would much rather see defoe and gudjohnson come for the same money.
Gabriel Heinze to Liverpool? no chance, is this a smoke screen put up by Raffa? I hope so, we dont want a Man Ure cast off.
I can hear the shit fans now chanting
United reject, united reject.
HEINZE IS NOT THAT BAD A PLAYER,OK HE WASNT AS GOOD THIS SEASON AS LAST DUE TO INJURY , BUT PREVIOSLY HE WON THE MANCS PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD , NOT BAD CONSIDERING .
I RECKON AT 5-6M HE WOULD MAKE AN EXCELLENT SIGNING, PLUS HE CAN ALSO PLAY CENTRAL DEFENCE, HE OVERLAPS WELL AND IS PRETTY SOLID
DEFENSIVELY.
once you don that discusting shirt, it's better u move elsewhere, and not to us... I won't take Heinze in no matter what. Beside, I don't think the scumbags would accept a bid from us on him!
Heinze is a good player and it looks like he might be heading Anfield way, I'm not saying he would become an asset to Liverpool but having players like him is always a positive thing for any football team. I think you all should give up being so negative about it just because he plays for the Mancs, if Rooney or Ronaldo expressed an interest in signing for Liverpool, after having secured 14 and 17 goals last season, you might be whistling a different tune.
I got your point mate, though the thing is, if we are able to afford someone else who has a positive impact and might cost the same or even less, than that would sound a better deal... You have to realize that not all fans think the same, and I surely understand your point, I for one would like to have someone in C. Ronaldo's capabilitis, yet I won't be rushing in to him in precise... there has been too much between us and the scumbags that we can't just let it all sink that easily. As for him, he might be thinking that he's a foreigner and have nothing to do with this, much like Benitez is the roumor proved true

If my memeory is not so good...i think Paul ince came from ManUre to LFC..so whats the prob now with Heinze? Anyway its just rumors...
And Beware!! After Fernando morientes..its another Fernando coming to Liverpool now..just hope history don't repeat itself ;)
Ince came to Anfield after 2 years with Inter Milan, not directly from Man Ure. No deals between the two clubs happen - except maybe for 15 year olds. And even Ince is always remembered as a Utd player; not a Liverpool player.
It doesn't happen for a reason; mainly how can Heinze or anyone else be 100 per cent passionate about playing for Liverpool FC when he has professed what a "super club" Man Ure is only recently. Surely we want players who will not just play for money but for the passion of the shirt?
Do we want Liverpool players having a love for Old Trafford?
1 red1 pool. we do not want any of there cast offs. i don,t rate him anyway no true liverpool player would ever go to manu. mind you i hope owen does,t go. but i do think its scoucers, and mancs. not anyone . paul ince was a cockney, more hated by west ham more than anyone else.i remember when i was a kid in liverpool8, the mancs were below hate. they have never got on and never will.but i think owen would go as he is not from liverpool. sg, jc,no way. so heinz go to real madrid we don,t want you.
Hiya lads and laddettes ..havent been on here in a while and a lot has gone on.
Luis garcia..He frustrates us a lot of times, but he scores fantastic goals and when they matter. If the deal does go through , which it looks like it is,just want to wish the lad a bundle of success and thanx for the 30+ goals u scored in the time you spent here...good luck Luis.
Heinze...When I read the news I was shocked TBH.Didnt think much of him as a player when he played for the scum..wont think of him much when he comes for us..he is after all a scum player, but like philk14 said ,if its a great player coming in from our rivals then why not..i wont be cheering him though knowing he "loved playing for the mancs"
Torres..Well it looks like it might really happen, but I for one am not going to get my pants in a twist just yet.Probably need some time to settle in ,but there is the fact that he wants to play for us...so maybe just maybe this kid will flourish..1Red1Pool mentioned that you need to have the desire to play for the club for u to succeed..well if he really does have the passion and desire i think he might be our best striker..they say they have come to an agreement over his wages ...90,000 and he has agreed personal terms..i have to see it to beleive it.
The chairmen asked for patience from us loyal fans.We have been.Lets just see how it all ends up..Its still july and who knows who we might buy..or sell for that matter.
i think you echo most people,s opinion, on him. scored some superb goals and was probally our only flair player. i will miss the little rascle i bet chelsea are happy. good luck luis, i hope you score loads of goals, you will be missed, and thanks.
How ya doing mate, some while... I guess Garcia's sale came at a right time, yet we just don't know, he was one of my favorites to be honest and surely he gives the ball up so often, yet he give it up to the other net which to our delight was a good return as well. I was a bit chuffed, but he was our only player recently to score against London clubs with consistency "perhaps"... he have scored against Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Charlton & Fulham, probably the only team he didn't have much good memories with are West Ham. He was even a constant scorer against Everton... anyways, he's sold now, with the best of wishes from us around the Kop for our Luis... there must be someone else coming in... we need this type of players in the whole time!!
For all of his faults Luis Garcia scored some crucial goals for Liverpool and I think he earned the respect of the fans for his ability to score in crucial games; which is the hardest thing to do. Most of us would probably have preferred he stayed as a useful sub.
I read some quotes from him there saying: "It was hard to leave one of the the best clubs in the world." He seemed to appreciate how great a club Liverpool are more than McManaman & Owen when they left for Real Madrid. I wish him well and am sure he'll do well for Atletico Madrid, who are by historical right the Arsenal of Spain. ie. the 3rd biggest club.
McManaman left because he didn't like Houllier and the style of football he was creating. We went from a team with a good mix of youth and experience challenging for the title in '97, with a bit of class I might add, to a bunch of french second division panzies that were the laughing stock of merseyside in '04. Ten years on and we haven't challenged for the league. Things weren't that bad under Evans. Houllier has done just as much damage, if not more, to Liverpool than Greame Souness. At least Souness can be redeemed by his playing career. Rafa's job is the hardest in the league, trying to rebuild a great club after the sham that was Houllier.
Garcia sale is a good one, although he did pop up with goals in europe and against some of our biggest rivals the fact remains that he gave the ball away too much and went out of games when a creative spark was needed. The path is clear for Benayoun to take his place now, he is a player who has more to offer to the squad I feel. He's stronger than Luis and can be seen tracking back to help out his team mates.
Thats my rant for the day. I best be doin' some work now.
