IF YOU HAD A CHOICE OF SIGNING KEANE OR BARRY WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE ?
Seeing as it looks as though we havnt got enough cash to buy both Barry and Keane, unless Alonso is sold who would you choose ?
Barry is a superb player, links well with Stevie G, and would sort out the left hand side of midfiled an area that has caused us ptoblems for some time now. He also likes to pass the ball forward which is something Alonso and our other midfield players seem reluctant to do.He has proved whilst playing for England that he is a class act and is a very consistant performer, he was Villa's Player of the Year last year and has been there best player for some time.
Keane on the other hand is a provan goalscorer in the Premiership, links play exceptionally well, and could be a revelation if he hits it off with Fernando Torres. We are also light in the striker department since the sale of Crouch, lets face it Kuyt and Voronin are hardly goal machines and are to my mind sadly lacking. Nemeth may break through but its a lot to ask of a 19 year old, the step upto First team is a big leap in class all though I reckon Nemeth is up to the task.
So who would you sign, I would love us to sign both, these two players should guarentee us a Premiership Challenge.they are both International players and are both at there peak. However if I'm made to choose between them then I would go for Keane as I feel our Midfield is a stronger area than our attack, if Torres got injured we would be up shit creek as Kuyt Voronin pose no real goal threat. What are your views ?
I'll prefer we get Barry, we don't want to ruin the confidence of our captain, Gerrard wants to play alongside Barry, he knows the player's capacity, and is quite comfortable on the field with him, he is free to move wherever he wants and do the attacking job.. If we don't get Barry he'll be upset with the management and may leave as soon as an opportunity comes around.. Besides, i still prefer the 4-2-3-1 formation with Torres upfront and Gerrard behind him, rather than a 4-4-2.

I will definitely sign Gareth Barry
without having second thoughts
Barry would make an exceptional player with gerrard, however we already have a decent midfield, if we lost out on him its wouldnt be end of the world, Keane is a good player, but we dont have any others except torres so missing out on keane would cost us more wins in the prem than barry would.
