John Aldridge - inspires passion and fire. But maybe after a while the players would get sick of his spitting in their faces with fury. His passion is certain and he got Tranmere to a cup final so maybe he would be a good man in the dressing room.

Jan Molby or John Barnes - Both superb technical midfielders who might help the team improve its passing, which it badly needs. But neither seem likely to get in the players faces and motivate them.

Sammy Lee - a good coach they always said but again I doubt he will motivate the players. You could see he tried to get Bolton to pass the ball in the old Liverpool way but I doubt Benitez will be too bothered about Sammy trying to get the team to pass the ball better as long as the team keep its shape and don't concede.

I would give it to John Aldridge although him and Sammy Lee would be the ideal combination of coaching and motivating.

He has the experience why not give him a go id like 2 see phil thompson get the role he knows the club in side out so does sammy but i think tommo would be ideal he done well when he took charge of the first team when houlier got the sack so why not give him the job as rafa's assistant.
