IS CROUCH GETTING A FAIR GO ?
Is Peter Crouch getting a fair go ? Whenever he plays he seems to do fairly well, he has good close control , holds the ball up, works hard , and offers something different. Last season he was our top scorer, and he has a superb goal scoring recold with England. So why is it Benitez wont play him, yet perseveres with Kuyt who is a donkey by comparison. Crouch is the only forward to look as though he could partner Torres up frony, yet Benitez still refuses to give him a game. Do you think Crouch is getting a raw deal ?
It was interesting to hear him interviewed on Saturday he said I'm glad to let people know I;m still alive, obviously a dig at Benitez, is he right or wrong ?
Personally I rate him and do think he is getting a very raw deal from Benitez,if I were Crouch I'd be wondering what on earth Ive done wrong ? I cannot believe Rafa selects Kuyt and Voronin (the Laurel & Hardy of the Premiership) in preference to Crouch, to my mind Crouch is better than both those players put together, mind you several of the guts in my pub team are as well.
If I were Crouch I'd be looking for a new club in the Summer and I'd feel very badly done by.
What do you guys think ?
I think Crouch is being treated like crap,I dont think there is anything he can do in order for Benitez to make him a regular.Benitez doesnt rate him(but then again when you've a player with the touch and skill as Voronin and the pace of Kuyt it's understandable....NOT!)I'd like to see him move on and find regular football,it's a disgrace the way he's being used at Liverpool.
He made this statement after todays game too..
“I’d love to stay, it’s a fantastic club and I love everything about it, but I’ve got to be realistic,” Crouch said. “If I want to have any aspirations of playing for England or furthering my career, then I have to be playing. And that doesn’t seem to be the case at the moment. It can be disheartening and I’ll have to look at it. What I will do, when called upon towards the end of this season, is give my best and then look at it in the summer.”
