OUR TEAM IS A SHADOW OF TEAMS THAT WE HAVE HAD OVER THE YEARS, WHAT WE WOULD DO FOR A KEEGAN A FOWLER A HANSEN A HEIGHWAY A BARNES A BEARDSLEY A SOUNESS A DALGLIESH A RUSH A HUGHES A LAWRENSON A NEILL A CASE A ALDRIDGE, OUR CURRENT TEAM IS SERIOUSLY LACKING IN ALL DEPARTMENTS.
Renia, Gerrard , Carra, Agger, Alonso, Mascherano, Torres, all of these are top top players who would walk into most teams, we are missing the usual wingers and 2nd striker but we always knew that mate.
I think we need rid of Alonso. He's a good player but he doesn't contribute enough for me. If we got 12 million he should be sold.
We need Alonso to be our playmaker; to take ball of the centre backs and keep us passing it ON THE FLOOR. However, too often we hit long balls and there's very little creative passing in the centre which Alonso should be doing. We need a player beside Mascherano like Fabregas who will keep the ball moving by passing it simple and having the confidence to demand the ball and dictate our passing.
Alonso is not doing this and consequently our passing at times, too many times under pressure, is terrible.
I AGREE 1RED1POOL ALONSO ISNT DOING ENOUGH, HE HAS UNDOUBTED ABILITY AS HE SHOWED IN HIS FIRST SEASON AT THE CLUB, BUT SINCE THEN HE HASNT DONE A GREAT DEAL.

SYRTEL BABEL SHOW PROMISE, BENNYOUN AND ARBELOA HAVN'T DONE BADLY CARRA AND SAMI GIVE THERE ALL BUT ARE GETTING VERY SLOW,CARRA MAY HAVE TWO MORE YEARS AT BEST, SAMI SHOULD BE OFFERED A COACHING ROLE AT THE CLUB.BUT WE REALLY LACK CLASS.
WE REALLY NEED TO BE RUTHLESS IN OUR SUMMER CLEAROUT, BECAUSE TOO MANY OF OUR SQUAD ARE JUST GOING THROUGH THE MOTION PLAYERS, CONTENT ON EARNING BIG MONEY FOR SITTING ON THE BENCH AND NOT DOING A LOT.
If xabi was english then man utd would gladly buy him and i fink he would push michael carrick out of the side.
