Simple but funny george, I thought harry was going to make a come back this season however yet again he is not in the team, if it wasnt for the fact we got him cheap (5m) he would be in my eyes the biggest transfer let down in recent history. He was number 1 on almost every teams wish list when he moved and his potential at that time was great, but alas he hasnt produced (partly not his own fault) at least we didnt lose a fortune on him. No way back for him now. seems like a decent guy who turned down bigger deals to play for us but cant help feeling he is one of those talents that oh so nearly got to the top, injuries in the euro final the fa cup final and now seem to be plain bad luck.
AGREE STULIVERED KEWELL HAS BEEN A HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT
I agreee Stulivered Harry Kewell has been a huge dissapointment, his chances of sealing a ew contract must be near zero. Rafa has been extremely patient with Harry but his injuries have taken there toll.
I also question his commitment this season, obviously he knew that he had to get fit and perform well to stand any hope of a new contract, but that just hasnt happened. Rafa obviosly thought Kewell had what it takes, but yet again Kewells end product is nothing , unless Kewell signs a pay as you play type deal then I cannot see any future for him a Anfield ( bearing in mind he is on £60,000 a week ). Frankly injuries apart he doesn't really deserve a new contract. His £60,000 a week is better off spent elsewhere.
It's a terrible shame to see a player with undoubted talent , fail to live up to expctations.
