STEVIE G - NOT A HAPPY BUNNY
After Stevies G's scathing attack on Liverpools Premiership performances this season, I ask the question is our captain happy ? would he consider leaving Anfield ? if he said I want away would the Owners sack Benitez sacrifice the manager - to appease the fans ?
Stevie G was spot on in his comdemnation of our stutterig Premiership form , he rightfully said you get nothing in fotball for coming Second , let alone Forth. He also stated that should Liverpool win the Champions League and end in Forth spot, it will not hide his dissapointment at us failing to compete for the Premiership title. He also says that he is fed up with hearing it said that this year is going to be the year yet nothing happens.
Stevie G has stated what us fans have been saying all season on ths site. But it begges the question, will anything change next season ? will the Manager learn from this years mistakes ?
As much as I would like to see Benitez given the sack , I have to concede that there is a greater chance of him remaining at the club next year, What differences can you see at the club next season to give us hope of a Premiershp challenge ?
Iam not surprised he is not happy BUT don't think he will ever leave the club (not after what happened a few years ago).
It is very frustrating that the manager seems to be making the same mistakes over and over again. Even the arm chair fans can see the mistakes he makes BUT still no change.He only seems to stop making the mistakes (i.e by putting out the strongest team) when he is under real pressure of the sack and then when LFC have won a few on the trot he goes back to making the mistakes again. What other job would you get away with doing that in !!??!!
what about us fans,sg we have to work for our money? you players are to blame, you should all get together and sought it out.. its ok moaning do somethink about it, were all fed up too, why raise your game for the c/l and do fa in the prem. yes it is time for all you to prove it...
As well as being a player, Both Carragher and Gerrard are local lads and fans of LFC, just like us they want the title too...If you look in some of the past matches you'll notice that Gerard almost never pass the ball to Kuyt..thats coz he knows the guy will do nothing positive with it, in his interview he pointed out that there are players who don't deserve to be at our club, they don't have the hunger for success and a vision like him... He talks the same language as us diehard supporters.
Carragher has pointed against rotation and gerrard aginst useless players, Hope Rafa get an understanding of where they want to point..and do something about that.
And finally i just wished not to have to say again next year "Next year gonna be our season".. coz its been too long since we are saying that.
If only Benitez could see some common sense , your 100 % spot on with your comments criticalmind.
Weve all have had enough of the excuses what we want to see is some action out on the pitch, players showing true determination to make things happen.
Gerrard and Carraghers commitment cannot be questioned , what we need to see now is other players showing that same commitment. The foundations of a title winning team are in place in the likes of Reinna Carragher Agger Skytel Gerrard Mascerano and Torres, now we ned to find the other players to complete the jigsaw.
Babel Arbeloa and Lucas may become a part of that foundation, Bennyoun is a good back up player, but others like Kuyt , Voronin, Riise, Aurelio, Pennant , and Crouch arn't good enough and never will be. They need to be replaced by players that are good enough.
A Top Quality Striker and a Classy Winger would go a hell of a long way towards narrowing the gap between us and Man U Arsenal and Chelsea.
there's only one person to be blame for our messed situation,
He is RAFA BENITEZ.
1. his rotation policy has cost us so many problems and frustations because it never come out with the right results.
2. his foolishness to think that he can win the premier league with the way he won la liga. it doesnt need to be a best manager to see that it needs different approach to win the both league.
3. his childish comment on "focus coaching and training my team" has given a bait to the PRESS to exploit sensational news on what is going on within the club. If i'm not mistaken, the club has been a laughing stock on media since his comment "focus coaching and training my team"
i understand with Gerrard's frustation, and it would be disaster if at the end of the season he would leave the club, i think if we wanted him to stay at the club, then we should push the owner (no matter who they are) to sack Benitez, because he is the source of our problems right now
I agree the only man 2 blame for our crap season is rafa benitez and his stupid rotation policy ive never know anyone 2 rotate as much as him! apart from ranieri who was nicknamed the tinkerman rafa has that title now! so i agree tito who ever the owners are next season then they should sack benitez coz we are NOT goin forward under him we ARE goin backwards and if he things he is the man that can still bring us the EPL title then he's more stupid than i thought he was we need a change of manager 2 put us back on the map and be a force in the PL next season that new manager would have the whole of pre-season 2 get 2 know his players etc etc....
yeah rushy, i do agree with u.. as we know, gerrard is a `strong man` for liverpool.. if he goes, i don`t know if i`m a die hard fan of this club anymore.. still remembered 2004 champions league.. i`m very impressed with the spirit he showed in that match.. and who guess? the reds became the winner? long live liverpool....
