WHY....rafa worries me......
When rafa needs to rotate the players, like todays game, he doesn't, and when doesn't need to, he does. this is why rafa drives the players, fans nuts.
todays game i wud of played a 442 system, reina, finnan arebola, sami, aurielo, yossi, sg, mash, riise, crouch, torres. alonso, babel, kuyt wud of bin on the bench.
we cud all see lucas, babel were tired at halftime, shud of been replaced. kuyt was pyiss poor again, he has agud game every 20 games.
just about beat boro, game was poor. i just wish the players can win anuff games from now, till the end of the season and get that 4th CL place. i don't care if all the games, are won 1 nil playing route 1, upto torres, crouch, team is not going to play the pass n move football of the past.
the style, formation, needs to be addressed in the summer. the spine of the team is great ie reina, carra, skrtel, sg, mash, torres. all rafa needs to do in the summer or the new manager is build the team round the spine, with better players, than are at the club already.
players need to be sold, we all no who they are and with the money brought in from those sales, plus £25/30m to spend, QUALITY players are to be signed.
It is nice to win in the Prem. at home. I commend the hard work of Hyppia, Mascherano, and, of course, World Class Torres. But how much do we depend on him? The formation worked, but would it against Man U, Arsenal, Man City, Everton, etc.? There is just no balance. We send crosses into the box and one man is there. Great odds, huh? Lucas was out of it today, but Rafa kept him on. He takes Babel off every game he starts. I like Lucas and truly believe he possesses a tremendous upside, but Rafa, come on,stop playing favorites. And how about Riise? Great sub at left wing, huh? Did you see the beautiful shot he sent into the sixth row of the Kop? Where is Jermaine Pennant? Quite frankly, I must say I feel very sorry for him. He can beat defenders one-on-one and deliver crosses into the box. He is lacking confidence because he needs a fair run of games. I despise the fact that Rafa plays guys out of position time and time again. Believe me, I am not a Rafa basher, but I just can't comprehend some of the moves he makes. If Rafa is going to stick with the new formation, I would like to see Babel or Benayoun in the hole. Play Gerrard in the middle behind one of them and Torres; play Masch in his holding role; and play Pennant on the right and either Babel or Benayoun on the left. And Pennant can play on the left as well.
It is time for the Reds and Rafa to find that killer instinct that the top sides possess.
