I wud like rafa to stay as manager...

I wud like rafa to stay as manager...

of LFC for the next 20 years ONLY IF.....he starts picking his best 11 players week in week out and when the team is winning by 2/3 goals then bring on the subs or start rotating.

when rafa makes changes, every game, then i wud like him to make only 2 changes max, per game,

i think rafa needs to sign 4 QUALITY players in the summer, if he wants to win the EPL, or come within 5/6 points of nearly winning it. i think rafa needs to sign a left back, left/rite mids/wingers and a striker.

starting 11 for next season...

reina
arebola carra skrtel 1
2 sg mash 3
torres 4

players 2 fill the above positions, i wud like to see rafa sign ie 1..Lahm, 2..Q-resma, 3..Drenthe, 4..Villa.

just my views boyz, don't hang me for them.

you gotta be kidding...

You cant be serious? u wanting rafa 2 stay! well u get used 2 fighting for 4th place in the EPL every year coz 4 as long as rafa is in charge he will never ever win us the PL title and thats what us LFC fans want more than anything well i want that.

i dunno about u top scout? the players u want 2 rafa or a new manager 2 bring in are good players i agree with them id also go with signing benzema he looks a good player along with quaresma i like drenthe tho he's a good player but i dont agree with u wanting rafa to stay we need a change of manager thats capable of winning us the EPL. what are your thoughts on this subject guys?

Raasons why Rafa needs to go

I think a lot of people on this site would like Rafa to stop rotating the team week in week out. Would like to see our best players played.Would like to see us playing attractive attacking football, But the reality is that none of this will ever happen under Rafa Benitez, thats why most of us want him out.

There are far too many things wrong with Liverpool Football Club on the playing side for any of us to have any real confidence in our Manager. He has brought most of these problems on himself with his continual tinkering, poor team selection and tactics , as likeable as he may be, the reality is Rafa has blown it, He keeps coming up short, Results speak for themselves. We are nineteen points behind Arsenal ( our premiershi challenge was finished in December ), and we would still be in the Quarter Finals of the FA Cup at home to Chelsea if he had played Gerrard Mascherano and Reinna. Don't be fooled these poor results are down to bad mnagement. mismanagement.

Can you see the team improving ? can you see Rafa not rotating the side again next season ? can you see us challenging for the Premiership beating the likes of Man U , Arsenal, Chelsea ? can you see any young players coming through our youth sytem ? can you see us playing attacking football ?

HAVE YOU SEEN HOW BADLY WE HAVE BEEN PLAYING ?

DON'T BE FOOLED BY ONE GOOD RESULT AGAINST MILAN, WE HAVE STRUGGLED TO BEAT LUTON , HAVANT AND WATERLOOVILLE , BARNSLEY, WIGAN , DERBY , BIRMINGHAM, WEST HAM, READING is it any wonder that we want Rafa Benitez sacked ?

Rafa

If Benitez stays for 20 years I'll emigrate and start a tiddlywink championship - we may win that.
One of the things that amazes me with "team selections" nowadays is everyone thinks you can run a team with 11 superstars - you can't there is no team spirit -only individuals.
We all seem to agree on the positional headaches but I would suggest not too much "surgery" is needed - remember we all thought we would do well this year with the squad - its the rotation and tactics that are crap. We have 2 squads at our fingertips

Reina / Carson
Arbeloa / Finnan
Carra / Skrtel (Hypia)
Agger / Hobbs
Riise / ?
Gerrard / ?
Alonso / Lucas
Mascherano / ? (Carragher)
Babbel / Benayoun
Torres / ?
Crouch / ?

Steohen Warnock in at left back
Danny Guthrie in at right wing (cover) Gerrard is more effective for the club on the wing / supporting the attack.
We need another holding midfield player but you could use Carragher if Hypia gets another year in.
Spot the problem - two strikers short - 3 if you think Crouch cannot do it.
For one of the four striker positions we must be able to bring one young lad in from the Academy.
It's all opinions but if you rotate like a lunatic and constantly change the formation / tactics non of the above opinion matters - you'll be fourth or fifth every year - just like we have been.

4 question marks for me - Guthrie, Warnock and a youngster up front answers 3 of them.

1 big buy needed in my opinion - should have been Anelka.

Whatever the opinions - change the manager - we need a leader.

topscout...

topscout..you are saying approximately what i wrote in response to one of eddie's post "who do you want as a manager"
If Rafa decide to put his stubborness apart and listen to the fans he can be a very good manager..besides he do has a vision... still think he is better than maurinho although he has not won the EPl..we can't ignore the fact that Chelsea has Frank Arnessen spotting excellent players for them...
I can't even ignore the fact that It took ferguson 5 years before landing his first EPL title, even though he did not showed great progress during his first 4 years... coz i don't see benitez being sacked, so i just hope he change for the best.
You are right we need quality players...BUt Quaresma has already signed a contract extension raising his price considerably, Villa is much more Kuyt-like player..workrate more than goal...
As for Lahm, is he right back or left back??
As Kev j has said, Benzema is a much better option if we want to get a top scorer..for me thats all we need, another goalscorer....
Also we need to get players from the academy.
Oh yeah, Topscout..you forgot to mentioned that if Rafa want to saty for years, he need to get rid of the misfits in our team fisrt!!
Whether we want it or not..Rafa is going nowhere.

we agree on sum points. rafa

we agree on sum points. rafa can become 1 of the great managers of LFC, for many years to come. he can be mentioned alongside shankly, paisley, fagen, dalglish.

rafa's so-called rotation policy fxxks me right off. he chops n changes the team from game to game, to make him look like a great manager, but all he is doing, is fxxking off the players, the fans and making the club look bad, by fighting for 4th place, every season the clubs challenge for EPL, is always over by xmas or middle of Jan, every year. thats not good anuff. the buck starts n stops with rafa.

I believe jose is the better manager than rafa over all. 1 of the reasons jose has been a success in the EPL, he does not chop n change his best 11, week in week out.

i believe the torres n villa partnership, will bring the EPL to the club. they play together for spain, no each others game and have a great understanding. they don't need a long time to gel. villa is a far better player than that huffer n buffer...kuyt.

benzema is a very young talented striker, his 1st season has so far been a great success, lets see how he gets on in his 2nd n 3rd season, wen defenders no about him.

Q-resma can still be brought, most players have there price.lahm can play rite/left back.

players i wud sell in the summer..carson, sami, riise, kewell, kuyt (sell him on ebay), gutherie,alonso.. i wud luv rafa to swap him for robinho, drenthe or iniesta, eto plus cash.

if DIC, takeover and they release rafa from his contract, pay him off, then jose is the man to replace him. i want the best manager out there, to join the best club in the world.

just my views....

There's a lot of games

There's a lot of games between now and the end of the sesson so let's wait and see how things pan out. I still have a feeling he will be sacked in the summer and I think it's DEFINITELY the right choice for the long term future of the club.

He has brought great European nights to Anfield, but he has not built a great team. The fact we're the underdog against every big team proves no one thinks we're as good as the top teams at home or in Europe.

Yes, we can beat teams in Europe, but we don't improve week in week out. This season is Rafa's 4th yet it seems like his 1st again when we're out of everything but Europe.

Except I don't see us going all the way in Europe this time with Real, Barce and Milan still about.

wait and see...

there are a lot of games, to go, i for one will judge then.as far as rafa goes, if dic take over they won,t sack him, they will give him ayear. as far as the yanks go, there to scared to go to anfield, so i don,t see rafa going anywere yet.if rafa does pull it off there is going to be a lot of red faces on here,,,

Rouman, there's a chance he

Rouman, there's a chance he will lift the Champions League again and if he does then he has rightfully earned himself another few years. No one could argue with 2 European Cups and no one could call for his head then.

But I don't believe he will EVER win the Prem. Ferguson has been winning the Prem for years but it makes no different in Europe.

Benitez can do well in Europe but has never done well in the Prem and never will in my eyes. If he wins the European Cup again we couldn't sack him for a good few years. But he won't win the Premiership and that's why many people want him out now.

But trophies earn every manager time and are what we all want.

eddie888

u 4got middlesbro we couldnt even beat them we got a 1-1 draw lets hope we win them at home eh?
