POOR TEAM SELECTION - POOR SUBSTITUTIONS COSTING US DEARLY
All season Rafa Benitez has cost us dearly with poor team selection and obscure substitutions.
I am still totally convinced that had he played Gerrard Mascherno and Reinna against Barnsley We would still be in the FA CUP, considering the pressure Benitez is under and the situation We find ourselves in common sense would have said to play his strongest team in view of the fact that we havnt that much left to play for. Did Gerrard Mascherano an Reinna really need a rest I doubt it. He thought the team that He picked was strong enough to beat Barnsley and again He missjudged the glory of the FA cup, and how bad a number of our players actually are.
Throughout the Season He has made bad team selections, He continues to favour Kuyt when it is plain for everyone to see that he is strugling, He has dropped Torres and come unstuck, He has kept Crouch ( last Seasons top scorer ) on the bench, He has played one up front in Home games ? throughout the Season He has constantly changed three four five players per game.
His substitutions have been bizzare as well He took Gerrard off against Everton claiming Gerard was trying too hard ? He substituted Babel against Barnsley when he looked our best player ? He plays players out of form and drops players that are in form ?
Unless he plays our stronget team through till the end of the Season We stand no chance of clinching Forth Spot, is it any wonder fans have lost faith in Him . He is a true Tinkerman in every sense of the word. Unfortunately all this tinkering with no end result will ultimately prove his downfall.
I think rafa has taken ranieri's title as the tinkerman! what u think? ive never known him 2 keep 2 the same side for a hand full of games in a row and as u say ed all this rotation crap stupid substitions and playing people out of position and leaving key players on the bench will certainley be his ticket out of LFC and it couldnt come sooner if u ask me he has messed the club up big time and it will need a top top manager 2 drag us back to the top where we should be and if thats gonna be mourinho,scolari,rijkaard or who ever then so be it rafa has out stayed his welcome!!!
No team has a devine right to beat another just because of their history, present league placing etc etc etc, its still on the day 11 men against 11 men. However we should of seen of Barnsley, it was a mistake to leave stevie and mascherano out of team, but i would of thought our squad could of done better, after all arent we paying them big money because they are top players who should be putting in big performances, Top players shouldnt need to be motivated for every match, and this was one, players must look to themselves as to why they couldnt be arsed to show up.
