DANNY GUTHRIE - SHOULD WE LET HIM GO ?

Danny Guthrie is out on loan to Bolton till the end of the season, He is only 21 years of age and has done very well at the Reebok in a strugling team. Should We keep hold of this talented player or allow him to leave ? What type of fee should We be looking for ?

To my mind Danny has undoubted talent, he is very unlucky in that our midfield is full of talented players Alonso can't get in the team and Lucas looks very good , Two Gerrard and Mascherano are virtually ever presents even with Benitez's rotation policy , that only leaves two spots for Danny to compete for, a tranfer to Bolton would virtually guarantee him football every week.

Has he got the talent to break into our first team and stay there ? will Benitez give him that chance ? should we get him back and see what happens ? or should we ask for a fee of around 5m with additional payments ? if so will We live to regret it ?

you have answerd all the questions on danny g, good yes but better than we have no. will he hang around i don,t think so, and i don,t blame him. the trouble with us is that we all want instant sucess, so we buy players, who we think will do it for us.the youngsters will not get a look in ,unless they are outstanding. its a cruel life for them but with the exception of arsenal we all buy,.

Guthrie

Danny Guthrie should stay and become 1st choice on the right wing.
For years in the 70's and 80's we ruled Europe with the right mix of talent and commitent.
Guthrie has both - twice anything Pennant has to offer.
Modern football debate seems to think you can have 11 superstars.
Joey Jones, Jimmy Case, Terry Mac, Phil Neal, Alan Kennedy - hardly world class players - all played a very important part in a world class team.
Guthrie is exactly the type of player we need next to Gerrard, Mascherano. Torres, Agger, Carra.
Bring Warnock back at left back and get shut of Kewell too.
Squad players who know nothing about the club, have no allegiance other than over inflated wages are not worth a carrot.
Benitez will let him go cos he's a dickhead.
