Prem games played abroad 2010
With the news that the Prem league is looking into playing an extra game abroad, LFC has come out saying that they need more time to look at the proposal. There are issuses with which teams we will play and where. The obviously problems for me lie with who we will play,if we draw a chelsea or manure and arsenal draw a bolton. then we could be playing those teams in africa or cyprus, with all the logistics and heat exahustion and travel time its a disadvantage to us or other clubs. And say arsenal or anyone else who is our rival is playing a lesser club in paris, just a few miles away and similar climate!!
All these problems are even before we go into gate revenues and finance as some countries and stadiums will hold more than others. we play in a dirt bowl in egypt and manure play in the san siro or nou camp.
On the other side, i am not someone who bangs the drum about britishness and flys the flag, we all live on the same planet and why we love to exploit the lesser countries of their labour and money to fund our clothes and make our shirts, i feel there should be a sense we should give something back, and also raise the prem league to become an internationally supported league. it already has its followers in the way we watch itailian or spanish football, but the idea of all countries sharing and spreading a couple of games around the world raising the profile seems to have its purpose.
I dont know which side of the fench to sit, so i stay on it for now. what you guys think as it is coming, make no mistake about it. Rick parry and all the chairman have been meeting dicussing plans to implement it for 2010. less than 2 yrs away.

More money but I dont think its fair.

Every one knows that the prem is the best league in the world so why change it?? and the fa cup is the dream cup to all english sides but the league cup (carling cup) is a mickey mouse cup no one cares so why not play the quater finals simi finals and the final of the league cup abroad as it will then put a spark into the league cup again, and thats 7 games so its 3 of what they wanted but i think every one would perfer that and it would also let the world see a real english knock out game.
i think its a good idea and gives the opportunity to the smaller clubs to make some money..also itll give n opportunity for the fans outside to actually see their teams in action..the only thing is that the round played outside shud be more of an exhibition match than a real premiership match...i mean one team playing in america and the other playing in some asian country isnt really fair..it shud purely be exhibitonal ...
i think it should be exhibitonal one year its in the us and the next its in aussie land but i stick by what i allrady said
