DREAMS FOR NEXT SEASON
This season has been one of the worst that I can remember, yes we are still in with a shout for the FA Cup and Champions League and funnier things have happened, but the reality is this season has been a huge dissapointment both on and off the pitch.
Next season could be a whole new ball game, my dreams for the club are as follows WHAT ARE YOURS ? :
1 DIC BUY OUT HICKS & GILLET AND I THINK IT REALISTIC THAT THIS WILL HAPPEN
2 RAFA BENITEZ IS GIVEN THE SACK, AN ATTACK MINDED MANAGER TAKES HIS PLACE
2 RICK PARRY IS REPLACED
4 WE GO OUT AND BUY A WORLD CLASS WINGER AND A WORLD CLASS STRIKER
6 WE GET RID OF ALL THE DEAD WOOD KUYT RISE KEWELL VORONIN AURILIO, TO NAME A FEW.
7 WORK ON THE NEW STADIUM GOES AHEAD
8 WE FINALLY PUT A CHALLENGE IN FOR THE PREMIERSHIP TITLE
I hope and pray that through all this turmoil , we hold on for forth spot, and come through this as a much stronger team, on paper we hae the makings of a very good side players like Reina Agger Gerrard Mascherano and Torres would walk into most top sides anywhere in Europe, I feel that the people at the top the Owners and Management are the ones that have let us down, once replaced Liverpool Football Club will come back stronger than ever before.
a team that is worthy, of lfc. a manager, thats worthy, and players that are worthy,new ones that is.the yanks need to be removed, and everyone on this site, to stop moaning. the prem, yes and most of all surporters united together as we allways were. there have been some hasty disputes on here, and i have had my fair share. but in truth we all share one goal. for liverpool fc to be back were they belong on top....
I would love all that to happen eddie, however its in your forum title, WHAT WE DREAM!!! Your right this season has been a disaster but only in one way, we are still in champs league still in fa cup with barnsely in our way of progressing even further, we are in the fight for the top four places were we have been for a few years. So all that went on the pitch was not progressing on when we had the chance to win the title. but thats what hurts the most and because of that with my dreams dashed i am going to be more cautious next season. regardless of who we sign or who takes over, i will keep my asspirations on a level keel. We went top the prem this season and clear in points, my hopes were raised to high. level head for me next season. (With fingers crossed though)
Besides its not end of season yet, we could win the champs league and fa cup and finish 4th. THAT WOULD BE A DECENT SEASON. the mancs want those trophies for their treble or least euro, what a season it will be if we again get to another final 3 in 4 yrs, win the bloody thing and then stop the pretenders of manure and chelsea or arsenal from getting it ,?? GREAT SEASON.
I have to agree with you stuliverd, allthough most of us would love us to win the Premiership, our expectation levels were too high. However the least we could and should have got was a Premiership challange.
Regarding the Champions League to my mind it is regarded far higher in World Football circles than the Premiership Title , to be able to say you are the European Champions is the ultimate accolade in European Club Football.
The Mancs, Arsenal, Chelski hate us because of our success in this tournament, teams like Real Madrid ,Barcelona,Inter Milan, Juventus, Bayern Munich, crave for success in this event. It would be fantastic if we could beat Milan and progress further, for some unknown reason our style of play suits European Football more than Domestic Football.Over two games we are very hard to beat.
Our season is anything but over.
1.Bill gates to buy us out after admitting to being a life long liverpool supporter
2.Kuyt to score/kuyt to be sold
3.Crouch to start more games
4.Babel to start more games
5.A new striker
6.2 new wingers
7.a clearout of all our sub standard players
8.Rafa to ditch the rotation
9.Rafa out if wish 8 above isnt followed through
10.To win the premiership
1 - The Yanks selling the club to billionaires who want to sign famous players.
2 - Rafa Benitez leaving with dignity in June with our thanks for the fantastic European nights.
Marcello Lippi installed as Liverpool manager or else Jose Mourinho if Lippi declines and we start next season with confidence we won't be left behind by xmas.
3 - We sign Quaresma, Owen, Willy Sagnol, Gudjohnson and Aguerro from Atletico.
4 - Dirk Kuyt and Andrei Veronin are never seen at Anfield again, except maybe as boot cleaners for Owen and Torres - but only at Melwood. They should never be allowed near the Anfield turf again.
