Rafa needs to play these players week in week out....

Can't agree with Carragher at right back , he was shocking there against Sunderland whats wrong with Finnan ?. Equally Maschano is virtually our best player every week , he is much more than just a holding midfielder. Skrtel has yet to prove himself.

I wouldnt have Kuyt Aurilio or Kewell anywhere near my starting eleven, but would try to keep a settled side till the end of the season.

I would agree with your team selection. only point would be not all the players chosen are fit. and god knows if agger is going to be able to get back into the swing before the end of the season if he appears at all. in my opinion gerrard reina carra torres babel mascherano pick themselves, riise and crouch are the best of the rest in their positions at this moment and alonson and finnan are choices between them and arbeloa and lucas or a winger with stevie moving inside. i really not a fan of stevie on the wing. i like to see him hurting teams through the middle and we are sorely missing a right winger of quality. pennant was meant to be the answer but sadly only showed his quality in few games therefore he cant be relied on in big games or week in week out. i dont like to see alonso on the bench, he needs the games and his form will come back. looking at our squad now its clear we and the critics and press overhyped the depth of our squad at the begining of the season. its quite clear that we miss pace down the right side with quality and someone to sit off torres. i said all along this team on form is good enough but with say another forward and an attacking right back this team would be near perfect if they get their confidence back. but funding is the problem and it always will be so i doubt we will see alves or aimar come to the club. But even aimar would offer something different through the middle. linking up with torres as a second striker would be a good buy.

Just heard there that Torres came off in the 23rd minute for spain with a hamstring injury,I hope to god he can shake it off by sunday or we're in big trouble!!
