CARETAKER MANAGER
I suggested once before Liverpool sacking Benitez and bringing in a Caretaker Manager until the end of the season. What do you guys think of this idea ? Someone like King Kenny , John Aldridge, or Roy Evans.
If we continue with Rafa THE CLOWN Benitez we will fail to secure Forth place , which in turn will mean us failing to attract Top Quality players next year, assuming that we have any money to do so. 20m is at stake on qualification alone , add the 30m worth of debt that the Yanks have saddled us with and next seasons tranfer kitty is looking bleak, that in turn means another season of failure.
If we act now something may be salvaged. As I say what are your thoughts ?
i still don,t think its right to jump ship. till the trip is over. the end of the season yes. i cannot see anyone doing anythink till then. and if rafa does walk, which i doubt kenny /and roy evans would be as good as you get, as temp/ cover. infact rafa shold get evans to work with him now...
What did i say in one of my post lastnight? ur gonna get someone saying dont do anything til the season is finished! he needs 2 fucking go now not at the end of the season like some people are saying fuck sake its plain and simple! get rid and now fuck sake!!!
I agree with rouman that we need to get Evans as assistant manager...under his reign we got youngsters like MacManaman, Fowler, Gerrard, Owen, Caragher..and we were playing more attacking football than the defensive one we are playing under benitez... I don't say we should not sack Rafa..but that its realistically not gonna happen thanks to the fuking yankees at command, coz they know notjing about football, progress and how to change things for the best!
I honestly cant see how kenny evans or whoever is going to save this season. Destabilising the club is not the way forward. Newcastle tried it they are failing. the time for all that is the end of the season if it is going to happen. Just look forward to the games we have left, and we have to be honest with ourselves lets wipe this season from our minds YET AGAIN and hope for the new season brings better prospects. We can go round and round in circles changing this and changing that in hope, but we just need to steady the ship and plot a course home, then when we are in may and june we can reasses our status and situation and go forward. Another season wasted i know but there is nothing in this one for us now except damage limitation. Bonus is FA Cup and champs league run, to get some pride back. least fans in europe wont think we such wasters if we beat inter and go on a decent run. i dont think we will win euro though, real madrid arsenal manure and chelsea look to strong for us this yr, just be nice get some pride back at least.

By "wait till next season" do you mean you believe Rafa will come good next season, or just that we should wait till summer to replace him?
If Benitez is going to go in the summer, letting him go now makes little difference - can't see the team actually playing any worse! However, if they are going to keep him there is a desperate need to bring in an assistant or do something radical. Benitez's management isn't working right now, and no amount of hiding behind excuses of off-the-pitch uncertainty explains it.
After all, which one of the millionaires who pulls on the Red shirt has been told he gets sacked if the club ownership changed hands again? If the Yanks hadn't got their finances sorted, it sounds like there's a queue of investors lined up to ensure no-one will miss a paycheck.

much as i like rafa, i think he's lost the plot .... previously consistent players look like they don't know what they're supposed to be doing, particularly riise and finnan .... the only way forward is to stop rotating ... i think a couple more bad results will see rafa fall on his sword; half expected it today. wouldn't mind seeing roy evans, phil thompson or king kenny come in

Sack benitez, bring pako as caretaker manager, then bring mourinho or lippi in as our manager next season
