Liverpool win in Switzerland
Liverpool beat FC Lucerne 2-1 away today, with Lucas and Voronin getting on the scoresheet.
Daniel Pacheco set up Lucas for Liverpool's first, with a discreet through ball before the Brazilian calmly slotted the ball home.
Lucerne equalised when Gavranovic was allowed a free header, before Andriy Voronin scored a brilliant lob on 36 minutes.
Ryan Babel returned to Liverpool's line up for the second half, after missing Euro 2008 through injury, but in a game that didn't mean anything, no one was in a rush to set the game alight.
Liverpool's squad for the game was as follows: Cavalieri, Insua, Carragher (captain), Agger, Degen, Leto, Plessis, Leiva, Benayoun, Voronin, Pacheco. Subs - Hyypia, Dossena, Babel, Aurelio, Darby, Kuyt, Hansen, Mascherano, Skrtel, Spearing, Gerrard
