I hold a lot of hope for Babel this year, but I don't think he is the right type of player to play 'with' Torres.
He has a lot to offer as a running, attacking player but at the moment he is best suited as a winger (or running from the middle). He may well develop into the 'Henry-like' player that he has been quoted to potentially be, but right now I think the best option we can bring to capitalise on nando would be to snap-up Robbie Keane.
If we happen to get Silva as well...hmmmmm

O.K Babel has been really good for us on the wing, he is 20/21 and he has alot of potential, one can only hope he turns into the Henry type of player he has promsied. I do reckon him and Nando up top would be fantastic as Nando would do most of the hard yards and Babel, hopefully, would play off the back two. At least thats my reading of the situation, mind if Rafa signs Keane, then that puts a spanner in the works cause Babel will prob find himself out on the wings again, which aint bad, but for me, anyways, Babel could be a better use in the striker position.

If you look at the what Rafa was saying recently about the addition of attacking fullbacks and not going for out-and-out wingers seems to suggest he will keep with this style of attacking forward, such as kuyt and babel, on the wings. I think the idea works nicely sometimes and I guess is meant so it can be worked into a 433 if need be but it also makes us very narrow and is not utilising the players best abilities. It works with Kuyt because he is a real team player and can pick out some reasonable crosses but Babel as great as his skills are often plays with his head down a bit and you can see his focus is on attacking the goal not delivering the ball. I do agree that he is maybe not such a great strike partner for Torres but I hope he makes the the transition soon and we get some natural winger in place.

lfc must sign a winger as the likes of quaresma n silva.we can place babel on a striking position.zis will liberate space for torres.

I feel that liverpool should definately concentrate on looking for a suitable right winger, if blackburn want pennant then i would like us to offer him plus cash for bentley.Im not totally convinced on where barry is gonna fit in to our system, plus the spiralling transfer fee is not good.

I hope the rafa will consolidate the defensive area with quality players. Also increase the potential attacking side with the best signings as Robbie Keane is not a king player and will not suit with Fernando Torres. Star attacking players are badly needed to compete the title . We hope our club will swim and not sink again
