splashing 18m for barry is a big big mistake.. we have mascherano lucas already in the set.. am sure even aurelio can do a good job there..we have plessis and spearing poking here.. but i agree to offload ALONSO..the guy is a veron type player and he just cant deliver here.he always needs an extra second to set his play, in england no 1 gets it ..remember the second goal conceded against manu when alonso was marking ronaldo?? its unforgiven from a professional.. wide left we urgently needa a quality player.. i am convinced we have let go a golden when ben arfa have joined MARSEILLE for only abt 10m..remaining options are sylva capel downing menez..wide right with guthrie and kuyt and babel.. kuyt..

Considering it was babel's first season in the Premiership, you would have to say he did very well, on a rating out of 10 Iwould give him 7. However there were games where he was non existant, he was increadably inconsistant, in others he played superbly if anything he was even better used as a sub. The facts of the matter are that he is only 21 , hopefully this Season we will see further improvement. I'm not convinced he is the right person to play alongside Torres. I think we should keep him out on the left for another season and let him develop, because utimately I can see this guy being an exceptional player.
