Rafael Benitez is seeking talks with the Chief of Referees Keith Hackett about Javier Mascherano's sending off at Old Trafford.

Mascherano had to be escorted from the pitch after first questioning the booking of Fernando Torres, and then his own 2nd yellow card, but Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez wants to get the situation sorted ASAP, in the hope that Mascherano is not hit with an excessive match ban.

"I would like to speak to Keith Hackett because it is important that we find a solution.
 
"At Liverpool, we respect the game, we respect the rules and we respect the referee, and it is important to remember that Mascherano was the first Liverpool player to be sent off in the league this season."
