I think Hicks is an insult to decent human kind. We (LFC) spent years thinking and deciding who would take over LFC. How could we have got it so horribly wrong. I would rather DIC than the American DIC.

On what planet does this man live?? In his interview on LiverpoolFC.TV when asked if he'll play Babel upfront, he is Claiming that he has FOUR VERY GOOD STRIKERS..Is he blind or what??? He's got ONLY one good striker, others are craps who can't score even without goalkeeper!! May be with that interview our hope of seeing Babel upfront in the second part of the season and better results are gone.. criticalmind yet another claim from a manager who has lost the plot, 4 great strikers my arse, kuyt and voronin couldnt score in a brothel, Crouch isnt much better, your statistics on goals to game ratio botre that one out. Rafa Benitez lives in a fantasy world and is living on borrowed time . He has taken the team as far as he can , he has laid good foundations and bought some good players, however he hasnt got a clue how to get the best out of them ( he's negative tactics don't help ) now whats needed is a manager capable of finishing the job. Gillett and Hicks
We all know that Gillett and Hicks did not buy LFC for their love of football. They bought it as a business venture to sell when the market is right for a profit. What they didn't count on is a decline in performance which jeopardises our place in next year's CL which in turn means less revenue. Add to that the pressures of having to spend more on transfers, the cost of the new stadium and the possibility of having to pay out Benitez and they have some serious thinking to do. I suggest they sell and re-invest in a water polo team or a beach volley ball team.

Although cisse scored more goals in the Premier league than Crouch despite playing very few matches he was constantly being played on the wings.. Who knows.. Babel may end up in the same situation?? Rafa could end up fuc+ing up Babels career before it begins, yes he played Cisse out of position, Cisse was and is 100 times better than Crouch Kuyt or Voronin, if were not careful he could do the same with Babel. Why is the Tinkerman allways trying to put round pegs in square holes ?

I think when you look at Steven, you need to look at the whole package. There is some truth in describing Gerrard’s style as somewhat lacking creativity, wasteful... etc. However, little attention has been given to his talent as a captain, his ability to unify and rally the team behind him. The UCL win is a very good example of Stevie’s passion winning the unwinnable. Benitez tactics had cost us three goals at halftime and staging a comeback form such an untenable position doesn’t happen twice in anyone’s life time. Gerrard and the team saved Benitez from his first major cock-up. Little did we know that he would claim this victory as of his own making, and continuing his failing strategy till this day.

Babel doesn't have the discipline yet to be a striker, I believe he will be in time, but for now it's better to keep him drifting in from the wing as that's where he's most effective.

Think of when Rafa took over and the amount of players that needed replacing and compare it to now. Should a new manager come in, I'd hazard a shout of the maximum, 5 squad players to be sold. Houllier had well over 10.
This means Benitez has IMO progressed us by 50%. Let's be honest, we don't have the commercial progression of Manchester United. We don't have the young blood of Arsenal and we CERTAINLY don't have the funds of £hel$ea.
You could argue as to how much Benitez has spent, but in truth, let's look at the players HE has brought in. Torres, Alonso, Agger, Reina, Babel and Lucas who has alot of potential. Kuyt was in top form last season but has had personal problems along with the loss of form.
The rest? Well the rest have been Parry. Did you all honestly think Benitez wanted Pennant?
No. He wanted Alves, the board wouldn't sanction a move.
Everyone Benitez has sold, he's made a profit on, because he's had to have that sort of mentality.

I understand our fans protesting against the Yanks, but cannot understand our fans supporting Rafa Benitez.
He should be getting far more out of a pretty decent squad of players, but lacks in so many departments, you talk of fans going to the games ( I live in South London and get to one or two games a month ), Have you seen the rubbish that we have been playing virtually all season ? Paul Anderson scored his 9th goal for Swansea last night, and by all accounts is having a great season whilst out on loan. He is currently Swansea's 2nd top scorer, and the Swans are riding high.
According to reports Anderson has pace to die for , and obviosly an eye for goal, the sooner we get him back to Anfield and put him in the first team the better,We are crying out for a top quality winger. Lets hope the clown Benitez recognises that fact and gives Anderson a run in the team . Pennant is just a workhorse , devoid of ideas, lacking in pace, and can't cross or score to save his life. OK I concede that Anderson is playing at a lower level , but he has been outstanding , whatever way you look at things he should be given a chance, its not as if were overloaded with top quality wingers now is it ?

Its typical of Benitez kev j , a youngster shows signs of promise and Rafa shifts him to one side. These youngsters need encouragement, they need to be given a chance, Hobbs has looked good , and I think a loan move is a bad idea for the lad, he must feel very disheartened and confused as to wether he has any future at this club.

I agree Eddie it seems crazy a club the size of Liverpool has constant money struggles but the reality is there wasn't that many billionaires like Abrahmovich willing to buy Liverpool before the Yanks got their hands on the club. DIC seemed to be the only ones and David Moores was suspicious of them for some reason.
Any business orientated people who buy the club won't pump 100 million on players and then 300 million on a new stadium. It would make no business sense and football is a business nowadays. Whoever gets the club will spend money but not as much as Utd or Chelski.
ManUre are an exception to most clubs the amount of cash they turn over. Not many other clubs can make that much money so unless there is some Liverpool fan out there who is a billionaire we won't ever be as rich as ManUre and Chelski.
But we can still win the title buying the right players. Benitez has wasted a lot of money on Kuyt, Crouch, Pennant and Benayoun etc. We can't afford to waste money. We have to get our acquisitions perfect or we have no chance of a title.
Benitez has got too many signings very wrong, along with negative tactics. That's why we haven't had a sniff of a title.

I just watched a youtube video of Kuyt as Feyenoord and he looked a totally different player.
Is it possible Benitez has ruined Kuyt too by forcing him to run around like a dog chasing defenders instead concentrating on scoring goals?

BENITEZ HAS A KNACK OF DESTROYING PLAYERS
Benitez has a knack of destroying players, you only have to see how Alonso has change from a creative midfielder with tons of ability to a defensive player devoid of ideas.
All rafa wants players to do is run around and work, other players that he has destroyed are Cisse and Crouch, both of these players are more than capable of scoring 15-20 goals in a season yet bungling Benitez had Cisse playing as a winger , and hardly ever plays Crouch , yet plays Kuyt ( the running machine ) and Voronin instead.
