Can we no longer trust Hicks and Gillett?
After today's news that Hicks and Gillett tried to tap up Jurgen Klinsmann as Rafa's replacement, and all the messing round with the stadium finance, can we still trust that the Owners have the club's best interests in their thoughts?
Hicks admitted that they tried to get Klinsmann to become boss, despite Rafa STILL being in charge of the club, and now the stadium financing looks to have gone tits up and all the debt is going to against the club; something we were guaranteed would not happen.
The uproar a month ago was about transfers, when Hicks told Rafa to shut it, and now the next thing is they are looking to replace him. They need to stop talking to the press, shut up, support the CURRENT manager, and pay for the stadium out their own pockets as promised.
They have also admitted that they looked into selling a percentage of the club, which they now value at over £1billion, despite paying nowhere near that for the club. Clearly they are more interested in lining their own pockets than backing the boss.

The yanks
I dont feel we can trust them anymore.
They claim that they were going to sack Rafa had he not made it to the CL last 16......why??
Cos a club like us should be there or cos they miss out on th cash cow???
I slowly but surely starting believe that they are here to make money.
I fully expected Rafa to be backed in all transfers esp Mascherano.
Rafa is right they know the transfer market.
As a result a host of top clubs are being linked with him.
They need to back Rafa if we are to sucessful.
Bring is Nasri and also Benzema.
Ship out Voronin, Kewell and Sissoko.
The Yanks
These two Yanks have to GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They know nothing about football and ONLY come in for money!!!
The greed of money is the root of all evils...........
We must keep Rafa and sack the yanks!!
Americans Are Killing Our Club
It was not so long ago that we all thought we’d got our own billionaires to take this great club forwards – how wrong we were!
It started well, with the purchases of Torres and Babel, our best start to the season on the pitch, and plans for a world-class stadium fitting of Liverpool Football Club. Yet we are now finding ourselves more embarrassed by our new owners than I can ever remember. We have:
· The false promises – they were meant to be buying the club with a short-term loan to be paid back pretty quickly from the sale of another business, but that has not materialised
· Poorly thought-through plans – having raised our expectations with a world-class stadium design, a couple of months on they suddenly realised they couldn’t afford it after all
· A lack of patience – with the season only 3 months old, they were already going behind the manager’s back in an attempt to replace him. And this is a manager who has taken us to two European finals in three years!
· A lack of togetherness – even if they don’t believe this manager is the man for the job, they have to back him 100% in public until they fire him and get someone else in. I’m not saying we would have won the league this year, but announcing that they had spoken to Klinsmann makes it doubly difficult to turn things around because the manager’s and players’ minds are not 100% on the job of winning matches
· Appalling judgement – it is beyond me how anyone could believe that replacing a manager who has won La Liga twice, the Champions League and the UEFA Cup with someone who has never managed a club was anything other than an enormous gamble.
· No clear evidence of delivery – we heard how they were going to make more of the club commercially, but has anyone seen any evidence of that? I understand that anyone who is still with the Official Liverpool Supporters Club this season got an initial DVD, a pen and a pencil for their £30. That kind of value for money will not drive anyone to be loyal to the club.
· Blatant lies – how can they continue to claim they are not looking to sell when a City bank has been putting together a sales memorandum for at least a part of the club?
Now I have seen a lot of talk from Mr Hicks recently, and rather less from Mr Gillett, so maybe this reflects on one rather than both of them. Perhaps Mr Hicks should just take his own advice and “Quit talking”!!
yanks!
Would u back rafa now with the way the club is at the moment? the way we are playing, the very poor results, etc etc..... i can see why they dont wanna put there hands in there pocket coz of recent results, performances, and there arguments. if the yanks think that rafa cant take them any further then they should replace him a.s.a.p or even better the yanks should sell up and move on coz something has gotta give this amazing club cant keep goin through problems like this week in week out
I dont know if i trust Rafa

Shame
This is the first time I have ever commented on a site but am totally disgusted with how are club is turning into a souless business entity. Yes business is important but so is conducting it honourably and these two Americans know nothing of this.
They have to go.....but what do you expect David Moores had shaken hands on the DIC deal but went back on his word to sell to Hicks and Gillette for a few extra quid.
Whether Benitez is the right man for the job and people have different opinions, how can some one do their job properly when they are undermined by their own employers is beyond me, and as for those who say he has had £135m over 4 years well that is gross net more like £100m. Less than half of what MU and Chel have had admittedly more than Arsenal net yet they haven't won a trophy for four years..........

Rafa: Dead Man Walking?
Benitez has been described as a 'dead man walking.' That's true. Even another Champions League trophy probably cannot save him. The arrival of the Premier League trophy to Anfield in May is his only hope. The bookies will tell you what a long shot that is, unless the team can string together up to ten back-to-back wins.
Will he fall on his sword? Unlikely. Will he hang on to be sacked as his team's trophy options are finally extinguished? Probably. That's certainly Hicks and Gillett's strategy for now.
In the long-term, meanwhile, the distant owners will enjoy his discomfort and be frantic in their negotiations to sell on the club to the highest bidder - with or without a new stadium. Take the cash and dash, boys.
