The S*n's one sided Carragher story

The S*n is up to their usual crap reporting 'exclusives' again with a recent article entitled 'Carragher's war on terrace'. The Luton fans are made out to be angels with apparent 'good spirits' and 'banter' yet Carragher is branded a thug.
The article makes out all the fans were doing were shouting calm down yet they failed to mention once the incident of spitting or beer being thrown at Carragher.
Obviously Jamie will get stick every week from opposing fans as do lots of players, so certainly wouldn't have reacted the way he did to casual 'banter'.
A club spokesman said "At the end of the warm-down, Jamie went back to sign autographs for youngsters in the executive boxes. Unfortunately, he was subjected to a tirade of foul-mouthed abuse and also had beer thrown at him."
Luton-born Simon Lamport who was with his son in a nearby executive box said "There was a group of Luton fans who had been dressed up in wigs as Scousers, and they started taunting Jamie Carragher. Then what looked like spit, or maybe it was beer, was aimed at Carragher. Yes, he did jump up onto the barrier to talk to them.
He was not led away by security staff, or anything like that, and then he jumped down again. What happened to him was completely out of order. I don’t think players should have to put up with that sort of thing, especially when they have come across to kindly sign autographs and talk to the youngsters. I’m not a Liverpool fan, I was born and brought up in Luton."

It has been announced by Bayern Munich that Jurgen Klinsman will be there new chief coach from the end of the season, one manager definately not replacing Rafa Benitez.

I too was once a Benitez fan and nothing was dearer to my hart than to see him make Mourinho squirm when we played Chelsea, but by the end of last season I was thoroughly convinced that Benitez was the wrong man for Liverpool. I think we need a lot more than what he has to offer and Mourinho has it.

Why accept Chelski reject... Even with abrahmovich's millions he could not won the title last year!!! What did he lacked, with around 200 millions spent he should have had won it even last year, so why did ManUre won the title???????????????

I have said on these boards a number of times Rafa needs to start producing in the Premiership ,he's been with the club three and a half years now and still we arn't competing for the trophy the fans all desire,

Maurinho had quality players from abrahmovich money so had from what to choose, What do benitez has to choose from if he can afford only free transfers???
Maurinho spent 120 millions in his first year only!!! How do you expect Benitez to win the title by spending only 20 millions in that same season?? The sad state we find ourselves in today is not (as you keep repeating) due to lack of funds only . The morale is at an all times low, team cohesion is nil and we are going down hill fast.
I never liked the idea of Hicks and Gillette ownership of LFC, but at the same time I cant really blame them from being cautious with there money if they haven't seen a glimpse of hope or return on however little they've invested. If what Kev says about us having 61 contracted players is true, then someone here needs be accountable for squandering some serious money. The view that Hicks and Gillette see is that we do have a squad that is capable of winning serious matches and we've proven that against Marseilles and Besiktas...etc. so why do we go on the pitch against clubs like Wigan and Luton and play the way we did? who is responsible for our second rate performances... surly not Sissko cause he wasn't even their.
Mate we are not paying Benitez to make mistakes and then take time to understand them and implement new strategy. Our squad needs a brilliant tactician, someone that can boost there morale and inspire them to give all, then money will follow. I am afraid Benitez is incapable of providing any of this as we've seen time and time again but Mouriho can as we've seen time and time again.

The major difference criticalmind is that Maurinho has won the Premiership twice, Ive never said that Rafa is a crap manager ,as I've said any manager who wins the Champions League has to be pretty good, you on the other hand say Maurinho is shit. Criticalmind it's pointless comparing Benitez at Liverpool and Mourinho at Chelsea. Until and unless Mourinho gets the Anfield job we don't know if he can do better than Benitez with the same funds. I think most people realise he would do better in the league, but maybe not in Europe.
There is no one in world football more sought after than Mourinho Criticalmind - that's why he's linked to the cream of the crop like Barce, Milan and Liverpool. I don't know who you think is better placed than Mourinho to take over Liverpool but I know we'd be lucky to get the guy. Judge him on his prefessional results and not his personality.
And he got to two European Cup semi finals with Chelsea and would have beaten any side but Liverpool - a team that knew how to beat Chelsea better than anyone because they played them so many times in a few years.
GOOD TO HAVE SIGNED SKITEL
Signing Skitel gives our defence the right balance, We now have Carragher , Agger , Hypia and Skitel,and Hobbs which should cover most eventualities. Hypia can't go on forever ( what a great and loyal servant Sami has been over the years ) I personally reckon Rafa should consider making him he's assistant. Carragher has made a few mistakes but hey he's missed Agger and allways give 100%, Agger has been sorely missed he has class and reminds me a bit of Alan Hansen, Hobbs needs more time but did well on the few occasions that we have seen him, all our defence needs now is a top quality Left Back and then it should be sorted for many seasons to come. On the subject of full backs have they been instructed not to pass the half way line ? because none of them seem to overlap any more. Its about time they did, I have allways liked Stevie Finnan but admit this season has not been his best Arbeloa looks good and also can play at left or right back without letting us down , I can see him improving , Riise has been shocking this season and I really think it is time for us to say good bye, Aurilio looks ok but injury keeps holding him back I eeckon a decent run in the side will see him come on in leaps and bounds.

MORE POINTS DROPPED
Another poor display and more points dropped, forget the Premiership , we have are in a dogfight for the all important 4th spot, thank god for Torres because he has got Rafa out of jail.
Our first half performance was dreadfull, in fact we only got going in the last fifthteen minutes, Pepe did well to tip Downings effort onto the post and Sami could have won it for us in the dying minutes. Yet again we were lucky not to lose to a very poor Middlesborough team. Yet again our performance was below par, shambolic in fact, The anti Rafa brigade will understandably have a field day, many more performances like this and Rafa won't make it through January. We really have lost the plot.

I just want to go back a bit and look at that extraordinary spike in our performance in Marseilles. What was that? and what inspired us on the day? Same squad, same coach and the same owners. Whatever it was, we need to bottle it and give it the team one hour before the game.
The major difference between us and the top three
The major difference between us Man Utd Arsenal and Chelsea is that they ere all attack minded were as we are defence minded. Until we change we will never compete at the same level. The way we are playing recently teams like Man City Villa Portsmouth and Everton will all overtake us , even they have a more attack minded philosophy. Rafa and his negative tactics must go.

Eddie..thats why Ten cate was brought to Chelsea from Ajax at the begining of Maurinho's departure.. Even his game was too defnsive according to Abrahmovich, they were always winning 1-0, Score one goal and then defend.. Ten Cate Brought the Attack minded philosophy from Ajax and improved Chelsea after their dip of form at beginning of the season. May be we need someone like that we also.
We need a former liverpool player to assist Rafa or To replaced him.. Somebody who knows the club's history and playing ways.. Even Phil Thomson would do for me right now, he showed better football when Houllier was in Hospital.

I must admit I think Maurinho would do a very good job, I know that you don't like him, but I honestly dont think he would have to buy that much ( only another goalscorer , and he may convince Drogba to come ) to win the Premiership. If we went for an old Anfield legend then John Aldridge and Gary Mcalistair, would I'm sure do a good job if Rafa had a ounce of brain he would have had them on his coaching staff allready. Whatever happens Rafa has to go, he really has lost the plot, our recent performances have been the worst Ihave seen from a Liverpool team in the 35 years I've supported the club, and yet we have on paper one of the strongest squads I've ever seen.

Rafa needs to go, he is an idiot. Obviously Crouch is better then Voronin and Kuyt but he still starts Kuyt. i dont get him, crouch scores goals, so does babel but they are both benching. I have a hard time understanding him, if he does not get sacked, only our club will pay the price. And man i will be FcuKing angry if we finish 5 or 6th
