After yesterday's lame performance against Chelsea did we learn anything from this match?
Answers, bitches, rants and opinions on a postcard to this thread.

What we learned from
What we learned from yesterday:
-Crouch can't tackle
-Voronin can't seem to hold the ball and is slow, oh and hasn't scored for a while either
-We look lost upfront with Torres
-Rafa doesn't care about the mickey mouse cup :)

I would like to apologise for having used Caps on this site , however I have just had a successful operation and can actually make out small print for the first time in years.
I would like to wish all you like minded Liverpool fans a Happy Christmas and lets hope our team has a great New Year.

Your still writing in capitals tho? lol! it doesnt bother me how u write. as long as i can read ur forums and i can.
WE NEED A RUN OF VICTORIES
We need a run of victories over Xmas and the New Year, starting with Portsmouth on Saturday. I predict a hard fought game with us winning 1-0 with a goal from Fernando Torres.
We can't afford to lose any
We can't afford to lose any more games, not just to catch up the others, but to stop city, pompey or god forbid everton maybe finishing above us, not that i think this will happen but you never know, without our 2 best players we were never going to beat chelsea, we rarely win there with our strongest side anyway, we have a decent squad, not a good or great one, we have a good first team that can give anybody a game, but they all have to be up for it on the day or night, kewell played poorly Vs utd and kuyt was a passenger again and as for shooting (a cows arse and banjo springs to mind), i don't think we are as out of the title race as people are saying, not yet anyway, to be honest despite some good wins so far, most of the team can raise thier game a bit, whether rafa can get it out of them is anybody's guess, this includes jamie, stevie, riise, finnan, if alonso and agger have the positive effect we are hoping from them who knows how we will fare for the remainder of the season, we had a good unbeaten run mainly because of all the horrible away fixtures we lost last season have so far been at home, the away games are going to determine exactly where we finish this season, we are going to have to steal most of them by the odd goal, this means no experiments, no passengers, no risks barring injuries, no kuyt or sissoko, and with inter milan in the champs league some payback for shanks.
GOOD RESULT
A good result against Portsmouth, we got off to a flyer, some very good performances from Mascherano my man of the match, Torres ( 14 goals so far superb ) and Carragher. Now we need to get on a roll because Arsenal Man Urd and Chelsea are not really dropping many points .
same 11
Good game took the chances we created, agree Mascherono man of the match Gerrard Torres Benanyoun played well Kuyt worked hard but carless in the last touch. Good performance and good result.Arsenal where lucky today not dropping any points penalty missed Rob Keane
WE JUST HAVE TO SIGN MASCHERANO
Mascherano was superb today, Hicks and Gillet have got to pull there finger out, and get him signed up. If we lose him it would be criminal he is world class.
Not bothered about the micky mouse cup
I was honestly happy to see us out of the stupid League Cup thing, it was only aimed at giving the reserves / younsgsters / not first teamers to get a run in the team, and 3 games already (Reading, Cardiff City and Chelsea) is just about enough...
Great win against Portsmouth, for sometimes I thought we won't be able to pull anything against them, remembering how the game ended last season was just horrifying and thank goodness for Torres on the side, he was involved in almost all the goals and could have easily had a hat-trick, keep the goals going in lad...
One more thing, I just started to notice "I was stunned it toke me so long to see it" that all our strikers are Blonds. I don't know if Benitez was having something in mind about having 4 blond strikers, or it was just a very big coincidence!!! sadly not all of 'em can score!
