Rafa hints at Crouch role

Rafa Benitez has given another indication of how he sees Peter Crouch's role at Liverpool.
Crouch has mainly been on the bench this season, and has impressed when he has featured, but Rafael Benitez today spoke about Crouch, revealing why last season's top scorer has not been playing : "I think that Crouch can accept it" (not playing against Fulham).
"He is training well and working hard as always. He knows he must give 100% whatever the situation, even if he plays 20 minutes."
"Crouch has not always played because I was happy with the other strikers when they were playing. In games sometimes you want to play on the ground and move the ball quickly and if not you can use Crouch.
“Torres was playing well but Kuyt was doing a fantastic job and Voronin too. In some games we had one striker with Gerrard behind. Crouch is different to the other strikers. It depends on the game, sometimes with the opponents and sometimes with your team.”
“For me, Crouch is not the fourth striker, he is different.”
“Crouch is working hard but is playing less games.He is more focused on scoring goals but I think that’s okay. More or less he is trying to do the same but when you have confidence you try to be close to the ball and to finish.”

Why cant Rafa see that Peter Crouch is quality for us? He nearly scored against Arsenal with a long range shot, he scored a great header against the Turks, but he will probably be on the bench again today, while Kuyt plays crap and gets in ahead of him
Its goal that matters..
Mate its goals that matters in a match not missed opportunities, even Kuyt and voroni missed lots of opportunities and were about to score, but like Crouch they did not scored. Forget Besiktas, thats a rappy team, Crouch has already played 5-6 EPl matches till now, although he did not played full 90 mins, at least he should have had got 1-2 goals!!
But anyway i reckon that we don't have great option untill the end of the season and are obliged to use him untill the end of the season, preferably ahead of Kuyt.
LFC criticised v Fulham
I've noticed this season that in the press there seems to be some sort of hate campaign against LFC and in particular Rafa Benitez. OK there have been some games, at least 3 draws in the league we should have won and then the two shocking defeats in europe. But in my view we are still doing ok when you consider the amount of injuries we've had to key players, some of whom took time to get back to form once declared fit again.
Rafa just can't do anything right in the eyes of the press. They claim to be the voice of the fans when they say Rafa should stop his rotation. But when he plays the same team as the previous game, as he did against Fulham, and we win the press say LFC were lacklustre and brave Fulham deserved a draw. What game were they watching? Pepe Reina had virtually nothing to do the whole game and our team controlled possession throughout and created most of the chances. How come Chelsea weren't criticised when they drew with Fulham? Why weren't Arsenal criticised when it took them 85 minutes to score against Fulham?
One newspaper went as far as to say that Benitez knew his team would not perform after there exploits in europe and was trying to show everybody "how clever he was", by having one of his subs win the game.......Ridiculous!

Philk14, I always state the same thing that the Media is just total rubbish. Litterly NO ONE has a clue what they say when we play our game out there, everybody stupidly states that we don't have a chance while we were 3 points of Manchester United on level games !!!... And what makes matters worse is listening to these moranic phone-ins slating Rafa and the team for being UNDEFEATED !!!
I really hate the media for their disgusting treatment of Liverpool Football Club, and wish someone can make a difference in that regard!
