Reds only manage a draw against Spurs

Liverpool got a point from the game against Tottenham at Anfield on sunday, but only just thanks to a late header from Fernando Torres.

Liverpool took the lead early, with Voronin following up Gerrard's free kick- which Paul Robinson could not keep hold of, after Gerrard was held back by Jenas. The Reds could have got another, when Voronin was through on goal he instead passed back to Gerrard rather than shooting which was the better option.

Gerrard hit the post with a free kick , and Fernando Torres sent a shot just wide of the Tottenham goal.

Spurs equalised through Robbie Keane, after he got through Carragher and Hyypia and slotted home just before half time. After the break, Keane got through on goal again, and lifted the ball over Reina to make it 2-1 to the travelling side.

For much of the second half, Spurs dominated, and despite Rafa bringing on Babel, Kuyt and Benayoun; Liverpool struggled to create a chance. In the 91st minute, Finnan sent a cross over for Torres, who headed past Robinson to grab a draw for Liverpool.
