What if we lose?

With the Champions League final just around the corner, most fans are acting like we have already won, and if our form in Europe is anything to go by, we will win the European Cup again, but what if the unthinkable happens and we lose?
No one can give the players a hard time, throughout the Champions League we have been underdogs, against Barcelona and Chelsea, but overcame those hurdles, we destroyed PSV, were great in the group stages, but we all know that we are one game away from greatness again, or one game away from a heartbreaking defeat.
Istanbul will never be forgotten, but that will not happen again for a long time, that night proved that anything can happen.
All the talk has been of Milan getting revenge, but they themselves insist they are not out for it - but all it takes is one error, one defensive mix up and they could be in and grab a goal then shut up shop for the night.
We have not played as well as we would have liked to have done in the league, and went out the cups early, so really we only have the Champions League to play for. Fair enough, we have got a CL spot next season, but if we dont win this game then the season will be a write off.
Whatever happens, the players will come back as heroes, either in defeat, but more than likely in victory, bringing the cup back home!
We cant lose this game
To lose this final would be awful. We have underachieved in the Premiership, this is all we have to go for. The players can either come back as Champions of Europe or just another team who couldn't make it. No one cares about the team that lost in the final, only the team that won.

Good point , but I think most fans see it as a great accomplishment on its own of reaching two CL finals in 3 years.
They say we had it easy eh ?Feck no, barcelona , chelsea and PSV..some might regard the latter as a weak team , but they were able to beat arsenal and also won their own league.Plus we crushed them on their own soil.
We are a force to fear in the Champions league and some fans say that Milan fear us too, but to be honest thats not the case.Milan are on a vengeance mission..and that was what the demise of chelski was ..they sought after revenge and got B.... slapped around anfield (drogba nearly got an oscar there too for best performance of a player being shot!!).
We have several different players than the final in 2005 and we finished 5th then..now we are third and are players have reached almost 70% of their gelling capacity.
Worse case senario..we lose yeah..but did we think b4 the barcelona game that we had a chance to reach the final..i dont think so..and all of us were talking about next season and the changes being made and what not.In my eyes ..reaching the final for the second time in three season is something to be proud of in its own..and not any odd final ..NO ..this is the CL final..and if my calculations are correct that makes it 4 finals in three years .
Good on ya Rafa ..hope u and the boys win big ears and make us even prouder than we are now..so lets not talk about winning or losing and lets just dream and hope and pray that our dreams come true.(not only that ..but would love to see the look on that drunk twat SAR and show him what we are capable of...arrrrrrrrgh i hate the bloody mancs)

You always have to believe that your team is going to win, otherwise why be a supporter and to the tens of thousands why make the journey to Athens, it's about on the night, as of the 22 to 28 players some will have an inspired game and others regrets, and of course that bit of luck involved in any sport, anything can happen i just hope it happens for LFC, i don't think we were that lucky in 2005 as most other jealous fans say, only dudeks late save from shevchenko, the rest we worked hard for, i mean at 3-3 they still had an hour to break us down and could not do it, if we stay focused we are hard to beat most times, i'm hoping 30,000 + reds are in the stadium and the players feel like it's a home game, and if we can frustrate them a bit gattuso may be a cert to see a red card, rafa did mess up in the 1st half last time and we did make the worst start possible, it will be different and even more deserved this time, it does'nt matter who doubles up in the champs league 3rd place playoff at wembley today, if we win on wednesday we will trump both of them.

We will win on Wednesday i can feel it in my bones, but i bet we will have a hard match, making things harder for our selves i mean!.Hope it is a better game than Man u and Chelsea yesterday i was board. Could not careless who scored just glad someone did to end the match. Can't wait for our boys to play proper football we will show them how a real cup final match should be played. Come on Liverpool.
Attitude and strength
The nearer the game is the more relaxed I am. In 2005 we had so many weak links in our team and Milan had class strikers like Shevchenko and Crespo so it was always possible they could destroy us. They did in the 1st half and the rest is history. But they won't destroy us this time and there is no Traore around to give them an open door to our goal.
If we keep our shape and Kuyt and Crouch play to a good level I think we'll definitely score one goal. Oddo and Jankulovski are good players at full back but not as good as Maldini and Cafu in 2005. And Jaap Stam was a better centre back than Maldini or Kaladze is for the current team.
The battle will be determined by how well we stop Kaka, Pirlo, Gattuso and Seedorf. That midfield group decide Milan's results. Nesta will find it hard against Crouch, and Kuyt will annoy their defenders with his workrate. We are just the sort of team to hassle and harry Milan and outwork them. But their midfield has such creative class they can cut you open at any moment. That's why it would be suicide to leave Alonso out and play Gerrard in the centre alone with Mascherano. But Rafa made that mistake leaving Hamann out in '05 and he won't do it again. I just hope Kewell starts and can last the 90 minutes.

it is like i'm living may 2005 all over again at the moment, it's great! once again i have booked wednesday off as it's the wife's day off to and, like last time, she wants to go out during the day "as i won't get any bloody sense out of you after tea!!!" to right love!!!
i honestly can't believe we are on the verge of yet another european cup final, it is truly stuff what dreams are made of! we are a better team this time around though and i believe that is the key to beating a meeelan team hell-bent on revenge. mascharano has to start, sit infront of carra and agger-do to protect the danger men of meeelan, the awesome kaka, seedorf and pirlo. it won't be easy and i dare say pretty (gattuso v stevie g part2!) but as long as ol' big ears is sitting in our team hotel later that night i couldn't give a toss!!

Passion
Everyone keeps harpin' on about how good Milan are and that we are 'also rans' but the fact of the matter is that for all the great players they possess and the tactical ability they have to overturn thier opposition, there is one key factor that we outclass any other team by...PASSION!
Our support along with the same passion shown by the players that night in Istanbul will never matched by any other team in Europe.

Further Ticket Allocation?
Does anyone know if its true that people who missed out on the ballot and had 6 games recorded on thier fan card have been going down to the ticket office today and purchasing tickets!!!
One of my mates rang to let me know as his mate is in the queue, however, my mate who works at the club told me it was utter bollocks and that there would be no more going on general sale!
If it is bollocks - get a life all you beauts who come out with this bullshit to pass on to people!!!
I'm okay as I've got my ticket but have a thought for all those fans who you keep giving hope to by spreading stupid stories about!
