Gooner game called off due to fog

Tonights Carling Cup Quarter Final game at Anfield against Arsenal has been called off due to the fog.
The referee postponed the game after an 18:45 pitch inspection found conditions unsuitable for play.
No dates have been published as yet for when the match will take place instead.
9th of Jan
It has been announced that the carling cup match will be played on the 9th of january '07. this means that Liverpool and arsenal will play against eachother at anfield twice within three days. Very exciting week of football!

Lets spare a thought this christmas and remember the 96 lives we lost and pray for them and hope that they are up in heaven looking down on us watching their beloved reds win game after game and hopefully someday making them proud by being able to lift the EPL....Ynwa and may you all rip.
Pennant is awful
Firstly before any of you say anything, I am a Liverpool fan.
Jermaine Pennant has got to go, he is awful. Everyone goes on saying he had a great cross conversion rate, but he has been crap for us this season, any wonder he was booed by Liverpool fans. We pay £30 a time to go and watch the game to watch him mess up a cross each time he gets the ball, he gets tackled all the time because he always tries to run past the same side of the defender.
I sincerely wish we had spent a bit more money on a proper right winger, or anyone instead of this spooner. At the end of the day every player has his price, and im sure we could have got someone like Aaron Lennon who is younger and a hundred times better than Pennant for not much more than what we paid for Jermaine.
I stand by the team, and trust Rafa's selections, but what has Pennant done to repay the manager or fans?
People dont want to make him a scapegoat because he is english, when Garcia loses the ball everyone gets on his back, then if he scores everyone loves him again. Pennant gets away with it apart from the time he was booed.
Id rather we had Finnan on the right and play 3 at the back, or if we get Neill in January then put Finnan on the wing and Neill at RB and get rid of Pennant.

The boy pennant is suffering from a lack of confidence and it looks like he'll be moving on again in the summer, which is a real shame. I feel with time and a decent run of games he would be a real asset to us LFC because at his best he is exciting to watch and reminds me of an old school winger. Someone like harry rednkap who arguably has the best man management of the prem could work the kinks out but it seems rafa's not to bothered! When a player suffers a lack of confidence at LFC (morientes, cisse ..etc) it is all the more apparent and if we can look past xavi alonso's slow start to the season then how the bloody hell can we not give jermaine the benefit of time before passing judgment.

i think your being a bit harsh there. Your saying that pennant hasn't delivered goal scoring crosses into the box,hasn't won the ball everytime or scored well its like every player they have a bad season and a good one. i for 1 think he;s having a brilliant season so don't write him off so soon.
if we had the money..
if we had the money i think we would of bought someone better than pennant..but as all liverpool fans do ...we give chances for players to prove themselves...and i honestly think we should give him that chance..one thing is for sure is that he is improving alot more than expected..i mean lets look at kewell..he has played in some important games and scored some awesome goals when we needed them eg against tottenham 1-0 ,and pennat also allowed us to qualify for the CL ..if it wasnt for his cross to crouchy's head we wouldnt be in it!

So we lost today, well shit happens. That was a performance full of everything you could ask from an away team. We dominated from start to nearly finish and Blackburn did a Home smash and grab.
It was reminiscent of the performance West Ham but more to the point Ludek Miklosko put in against the Mancs only obviously the stakes in that game were far higher.
Getting to Crouch though, if the lad had any kind of heading ability (as Klose clearly does) we win that game.
I refuse to be down after a performance brimming with heart and desire and remain very optimistic for our future.
Rafa got it spot on today and he did not fall into Hughes trap last time regarding Pennant.

yes i think we played very good football but there seam to be something missing in our team and that is booth wings left and right i hope we will get two high quaility wings very soon and we can send gonzalise for a season lone to another premiarship club by the way did anyone read todays football news because it says something about our invesment and i dont like it at all hope it is not true nat-car pool malta
gonzalez better than pennant
at least m.gonzalez is better than j.pennant.rafa bought pennant wrongly.pennant,he juz stand there waiting for the ball to be pass to him.luckily rafa did not played pennant during blackburn match,if not liverpool will not be thrash with only 1 goal.Whereas gonzalez is better than pennant.you see, the matches gonzalez played compare with pennant is much lesser,but at least he is able to score 2 goals for liverpool.But pennant,he scored zero!
