More keeper transfer talk : Amelia/Reina

Livorno goalkeeper Marco Amelia's agent has said that he could be moving to Liverpool in the january transfer window. Pepe Reina's agent says that Valencia are chasing the Spanish Ace.
Reina was linked with a move away from Anfield earlier in the season, but Rafa Benitez insisted he wanted his number 1 to stay, but now Reina's agent Manuel Garcia Quilon said "There is an offer for Liverpool to follow(from Valencia) But the kid has some questions."
Marco Amelia's agent Carlo Pallavicino spoke about a possible move, saying : "The main club interested in the player's services is Liverpool"
"The most interesting offer has come from England and Liverpool want to sign him as early as January."
At the moment , Liverpool still have Reina, Dudek and Carson as goalkeepers, but Dudek's future is in the balance after he recently said he might not stay at the club if he does not get more games.

Goalkeeper is not a position we need to worry about, why not sort about the right side of midfield, because although I actually do like Pennant, it is painfully obvious that he isn't up to the job !!!

Will be glad when Dudek moves on with a thank you very much for your services but it is time now to move on. pepe has had more errors this year and I am sure we all hope they do not continue. Do not understand the reluctance as regards carson and would love to know why the doubts by Rafa. Guess this summer will answer lots now that there is so much talk about having lots of money to buy whatever we need.

There were some figures in the papers a couple week back about Reina's Goal keeping stats, and although he's kept more clean sheets than any other keeper he's also made 15-17% less saves! The way I interpret that is our great defensive ethic of carra and sammi and finnan! They make life a hell of a lot easier for Reina! Stats can be used in a variety of ways to favour a specific player but for those who follow the game, it is clear that pepe is not the best keeper in the prem! So why oh why are we going to sell arguably the best young British keeper who performs heroics week in week out for Charlton and hang onto Rafa who is suspect to say the least and some young Italian. Anyone who does that in my opinion doesn't know a good keeper if he ran up and kicked him on the arse!

well, wats the use of one more keeper!!! Will we be playing a team of keepers or what!!
And i'd like u guys to remember how Benitez was criticised when he did not used Reina against Arsenals in the cups!!
Everybody was moaning after that choice, and now again u are telling Reina is not good enough!!
Another keeper will need time to adapt.. so again some bad starts of the premier league and again the Scrapegoat will be Rafa!! And will say, ok Next season we'll won the title, this will continue like this forever!!
If Carson is really that good, he would not have been at Charlton right now, other top teams would have had started chasing him imediately!!
Better spend the money wisely, if Amelia is coming for free, we can give him a try for easy matches and see... But not buy him!!
Better see Simao coming and another Goalscorer.

here we are again in a week leading up to a game with the mancs and i'm hearing the same noises from fellow liverpool fans and that is we can't afford to slip up saturday.
let's face it, lose saturday and the league is won as much as i hate to admit it. with that in mind plus 40,000+ ranting, raving reds cheering stevie g and the lads on i'm sure we can get the 3pts!
on another note i'd love to see robbie stay on at liverpool in some capacity if rafa decides to "let him go". keep him rafa!
Formation
Man U is going to be a tough game, they are so close to the title they can taste it and their attacking force is immense!
This is one of those games when because it isn't Europe you do worry a little. i think the biggest issue is keeping young ronaldo silent as well as properly marking giggs. In the midfield we have obvious quality and I would like to see Javier and Stevie start again as they complementing each other well and xavi needs a rest. The wings need to be defensively sound yet precise in attack. I hope on the left that we play aurellio and Arbeloa as they could give us the edge with cover and distribution. On the Right Finnan and perhaps pennant who needs to be sharp. Upfront We are down to the bones so it will have to be Khuyt and bellamy.
It's gonna be tough but individual mistakes aside (Reina) we have a good oppertunity!
By the way does any body have any hews on Kewell's return time??
