Chelsea supporting radio presenter has sick dig at Liverpool
Submitted by tony on Fri, 2006-12-08 16:17.
Chelsea supporting radio presenter Stephen Cohen has been having digs at Liverpool, because of the Hillsborough and Heysel disasters.
ThisisAnfield.com reported the news that Fox Football Fone-In Presenter Stephen Cohen said liverpool were “directly causing the worst two disasters in English football history.”
The scumbag also 'joked' that liverpool should have 39 coffins around their badge along with 5 stars (refering to Heysel).
If you are a Liverpool fan based in USA, boycott the Fox Football Fone-In and we urge all Liverpool fans to email fff@foxsoccer.com and Feedback@foxsports.com with your comments.

Whine
Whine whine whine whine whine.
Whine whine bitch bitch whine.
Jesus, you Scousers are boring. Get over it. Everyone else has.
Mr Whine
Ur a sick cunt with a maggot, id knock seven shades of shite out of u, ur a discrace. An as for forgetting about it, its easy for you, what about 96 families who want their innocent familys name cleared, grow up.
shut up
Shut up you Chelsea twat. Get over it? is that what you say to people who lose family members ? you sick bastard.
heysel
Hey, Hey...I know people died & that's sad, but for you Red's fans to deny that you're lot charged the fence at Heysel with intend to "do" the Italians is pure fantasy. For those old enough to remember, football aggro was at it's height & Liverpool had a bad reputation. Your fans even tried to blame the "mythical" Chelsea NF for that. I heard Liverpool fans at Spurs & other games later that year singing songs about that. I watched the whole thing unfold live on TV. Every one who went to football in the '80's knew of the scouse reputation for Stanley knives. You lot live in fantasy world. But I'll admit you're more passionate now than you were then.
History...you lot need to own up to that as well.
PK
missing the point
Heysel isn't the 1st or 2nd or even 3rd worst disaster in English, British or even European football. But because a common theme of the London media is to make out that Scousers are animals, facts and figures are often distorted to suit bile ridden arguments from people who are no better than modern day nazis. Just look at your own argument, first it starts out as 'Liverpool fans' then it turns to 'Scouse' as if the two are the same.
Hillsborough 96 deaths
Ibrox 66 deaths
Bradford City 56 deaths
It's your history
You keep whining on about your history ( mainly because you realise you have no future) so get over it.
Heysel IS your History.
And we all had to suffer for it for years after because of your uncontrolable thugs.
So quit you bitching and suck it up.
shut it
wanker what a dick!!!!!!!!!
VICTIMPOOL
Excuse me, but is it not factually correct that Liverpool directly caused the two worst disasters in English football history?
You should accept that. God forbid that you could actually take your responsibilities.
Oh no, it's far easier to play at being the victims.
Well in this case, even though you probably want to organise a minute's silence for this unbearable slight, the dead at Hillsborough and Heysel were the real victims and Liverpool fans caused that.
to whoever wrote that
I suggest you take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hillsborough_disaster
also www.contrast.org/hillsborough
Don't rise to the provokers
Just delete all their comments

It's glory round the fields of Anfield Road
really?
not recently!!!
dwellers
you shouldnt dwell on past success so much guys. liverpool won this in 1940 etc, who gives!? look to the future. also, im sure an arabian guy is buying your club.... yeah, so much passion for liverpool with someone who doesnt even know what a football is buying your beloved traditional club. the heart of the mighty reds will be ripped out. haha
Ignorance
the ignorance of these people sickens me!
total nonsense
These people have got no feelings at all . Just because it's Liverpool and not their beloved clubs .
And yeah , totally agree with you FOAR . They're just JEALOUS !
It's incorrect to link the
It's incorrect to link the two events because they're very different, but it's not in question that Liverpool fans were held officially responsible for Heysel. LFC doesn't deny that (yet somehow manages to avoid saying the words on the official site). It resulted in all English football being bad for 6 years, so it's quite hard to deny. Juventus don't forget either. They know who's responsible.
To the idiots
"Excuse me, but is it not factually correct that Liverpool directly caused the two worst disasters in English football history?"
No - liverpool fans did not cause the deaths of 96 people at Hillsborough nor did they cause the deaths of 56 people who died at Bradford City disaster
factually, you couldn't be more wrong, which shows how much the media has affects those with small brains
Chelskyvites
Its so pleasing that Chelskyvites show the true nature of their species and remind us all of their subhuman qualities. Well don lads, no one can show you so low down as you doing it yourself.
Almost makes sense
Get over the fact that Liverpool fans have a history of murdering and causing disaters.
Being involved in one footballing disaster is unfortunate. Being involved in two surely causes alarm bells to ring. Though usually you run away when you hear alarm bells.
Sorry, but i think you'll
Sorry, but i think you'll find its Chelsea who have the notorious hooligans, they're even proud of the fact .. Look here
Liverpool the best fans in
Liverpool the best fans in the world
Leaving aside Hysel etc
In the past twelve months Liverpool fans have
Attacked an ambulance that had a footballer on board with an horrific injury
Thrown excrement at opposing fans from the top tier during an FA Cup tie
Smashed up the toilets at Old Trafford
Booed a minute silence for George Best
Attacked parents with their kids coming out of Stamford Bridge
Attacked a dad and his son outside of Old Trafford after a cup tie - as seen on you tube
Been criticised by Rick Parry for theit animal like behaviour
All true. Best fans in the world
Coming from a Chelskyvites I
Coming from a Chelskyvites I take it as a complement, I bet you’re sick its not your lot that recounted there. Have you been on your official website to examine the true nature of your mob?
You take it as a compliment
You take it as a compliment that you attack ambulances and children?
chelsea can't talk
They're proud of their hooligans
chelse again
you're right...it's just that you'lot were the same but you (and West Ham) hide behind the media propaganda that your fans are so fair & pleasant & appreciative....Bollocks.
I take it as a compliment
I take it as a compliment that you find us so interesting and then when ever I read your official website let alone the darker ones, all I find is infantile Neanderthals who talk only of violence, drink and general idiotic ego based activities. I do have to admit that I did once read an intelligent article by one of your mob though I never heard of the guy again, so I suppose you lot sow to it that it didn’t happen again.
You read our website? I only
You read our website? I only came here because someone posted a link, usually I would rather gouge my own eyes out than read the deranged thoughts of Scousers.
Chelsea
what do you mean "the official" site? I've been to around 1,000 Chelsea matches & visited 78 different league grounds. This was long before Abramovich or Vialli for that matter. Yes Chelsea had a fearsome mob, which I enjoyed being part of. But to sit in your living room & give it huge about what a great fan you are isn't where it's at.It doesn't matter who you support, numbers don't equal quality..look at Man Utd.
In a new book Joey Jones (do you even know who he is??) said that in all his career Chelsea were the greatest fans he'd experienced. "and I'm not just saying this.." This from an Anfield hero of the 70's.
Were you even old enough to remember your last league triumph?
It's our turn at long last & you scousers (are you even one??) are acting like we've done something wrong..your time has passed...
PK
I am actually sitting at
I am actually sitting at work and about to go home. I have never given your mob much thought till you started to get big for you shoes and getting into ‘debates’ with reds. I use the term ‘debate’ loosely as its easier to have a conversation with a dead chicken than its is with a chelskyvite.
I have yet to actually discuss football intelligently with a blue nose on the web. I am glad to report that I do know one or two of your mob, but also glad to say they seem to hold more brain power then the average blue, its probably why they never go to the games.
“It's our turn at long
“It's our turn at long last & you scousers (are you even one??) are acting like we've done something wrong..your time has passed...”
lets get this right, I don’t give a monkies back side what you lot do, and that why I am not on a blue site trying to wind people up. Also when you grow up as a club to be an interaction organisation (in the next life) then you will realise what it is to have international fan base.
PS £300m and two championships is hardly a reasonable return and I am looking forward to the unravelling of the egoist blue train. One day you guys might actually succeed with dignity and class and maybe with money earnt and not stoles.
winning
I think it's good someone other than MAN U and Arsenal winning, even if it is chelsea. the fans just shove it in everyones faces, and not in a playful-banter manner, in an Abnoxious way.howw can brag any way, when best player (drogba) ADMITTED that he dives to get free kicks and penalties on Match of the day last season. that's what it's about these days-CHEATING and football fans hate to see it. fair play to chelseafor doing so well the last two season, they have great players and great (yet VERY annoying) manager. but seriously get off that high horse
sick
The fella says 'get over it?' should get over himself. You might as well go up and say it to the families of the 96 INNOCENT people that died at hillsborough. you're sick in the head. would say the same about other disasters, other TRAGEDIES. I know many REAL football fans that support Chelsea, Man U and others who can empathise with Horrible situation and Don't even read the sun because of the LIES!.it can be said that Liverpool fan's were to balme for heysel, but hillsborough-NO way!
AND most Football clubs have a lot of Fans who do horrible stupid things, not just Liverpool. What about west ham and tottenham?what millwall? they are more known for hoolganism. AND it just a small Minority who booed the minute of silence for George Best AND there were Man City fans booing as well, as usual the finger was pointed only at The LFC fans. There is always a Minority of hooligan scum in EVERY SINGLE football club EVERYWHERE and they should not represent the Mjority. so just shut up
How low is it to use
How low is it to use something like hillsborough as a point in a slagging match about football !!! very sad people who need to stoop that low
How many Liverpool fans
How many Liverpool fans tried to get into the Leppings Lane without tickets?
That had nothing to do with it?
Sickened
I am sickened by the comments of this Stephen Cohen. I can't for the life of me understand why there are brainless arseholes agreeing with him. There were plenty of other disasters all over the world in stadiums far worse than the ones discussed here. It could have been any clubs fans involved in them. The Heysell stadium was a disaster waiting to happen, regardless of wether violence occured. Hillsborough happened because fans back then were caged in standing terraces, if it didn't happen then it would have soon after. The fact here is that you can't make jokes about people losing their lives. Mr. Cohen has no class and I'm quite sure his research, if any, went no further than the tabloids.
Tickets for Hillsborough
If the police had been in better control of the situation, it wouldn't of mattered how many fans tried getting in. To use Hillsborough against us is about as factual as Ian Huntley being innocent.
Heysel is in a totally different relation to Hillsborough, although both carry the same circumstances, shit stadium and shit policing.
Would you stand for having lit bottles of urine thrown at you, whilst you're with your son in a stand next to Italian scum throwing bricks at your mates?
As for the poor excuse mentioned above about Liverpool fans attacking Alan Smith's ambulance, it was actually the "Pride of Merseyside Evertonians" who decided to get in on it. Destroying the Manc's toilets? It was actually their seats, this was after the fans were jeered on by signs on the M6, such as "96 less aren't we grateful?", that sure wasn't £hel$ea fans either.
So for you dickheads to even try and contemplate anything about the 2 matches, you should consider reading up on issues others are so emotionally tied to.
Sorry
I followed a link to this story from my Chelsea news feed.
I don't like Liverpol a great deal, but only in a sporting context.
I havent read all the comments on this, but saw a couple from chelsea fans that i consider sick.
I remember the footage of both tragedies - and this is not something that you deserve to be taunted with. It happened, and it was horrendous.
Sorry for offence caused by idiots in the name of my club.
Finally someone with a bit
Finally someone with a bit of moral decorum.
firstly the reason for the
firstly the reason for the deaths at hysel were from both sets of fans kicking off and the italians running as usual, the ground was ancient and falling apart, consiquently falling down under the strain. in the 80's there was kickoffs everywhere you went and this was no more than an unfortunate incident, the game should never have been played there in the first place. as for everything else Liverpool fc is and wil always be the envy of every other team in britain and as for chelsea you have fuckall your support is fucking shite and you will always be in the shadow of the MIGHTY REDS. don't get ahead of yourselves there are much bigger clubs than you, forest, villa, tha mancs and many more. also don't comment on hillsborogh when you don't know the facts, TWATS
It is a sad thing when
It is a sad thing when people use tragedies to try and get one up on a rival club. These people dont seem to realise that it will stir up a lot of painful memories for those who lost loved ones.
People forget that unfortunately many people have been killed from crowd trouble and 'accidents' all around the world and not just with Liverpool supporters.
24 May 1964
Peru v Argentina
A riot killed 318 and left more than 500 with major injuries
2 January 1971
Celtic v Rangers
66 people died and 140 were injured.
20 October 1982
Spartak Moscow v Haarlem
340 people were reportedly killed during a European Cup match in Moscow
16 October 1996
Guatemala v Costa Rica
84 people died and more than 150 others were injured during a stampede
11 April 2001
Kaizer Chiefs v Orlando Pirates
A stampede killed 43 people,
30 April 2001
Lupopo v Mazembe
14 people killed during a stampede following crowd trouble at a major league match
Instead of trying to make things up without knowing all the facts people should respect the families of those killed and stop talking crap.
By the way, for those sheltered Chelsea fans who believe their club is so perfect, take a look at your hooligan website who call themselves 'headhunters' and proudly say
'WELCOME TO THE WEB SITE OF THE MOST NOTORIOUS FOOTBALL HOOLIGANS IN HISTORY'
I think i prefer Liverpools history!!!!!
jealousy
in the first place, ppl must be jealous of our club, thats why they even post comments to us and come and read our web. if the takeover is successful then i guess the others wld feel evn worse because they know that liverpool evn with a small sum of transfer fee is able to attract players with their reputation, what more about having a large sum of transfer fee. moreover, we don't splurge on players using large sum of fees unlike other clubs. If they want to talk about the past, talk about the history and the achievements as well.
calm down
The only good things to come out of Liverpool:The Beatles and the ferry to Ireland.
Only Good thing about this thread Is
That the mindless football idiots are know on the net rather than in the streets.
I am ashamed that anyone can condone the comments made.
What ever the reasons for the situation, its shows a disrespect to people and humanity to behave and make the suggestins that have been.
I will always be a chelse football fan second and a fan of football first. And wish that people would enjoy the sport rather than petty rivalries because there lives are lacking.
How sad is it that fans love
How sad is it that fans love using tragedies as a point to ridicule another club. I realise that not all fans are like this. Shall we assume all Chelsea fans are thugs? Case in point:
http://www.chelseahooligans.com/
And man utd fans are really the height of decorum: banning orders last season issued to fans 29 - most in the league. 2nd only to portsmouth in total bans. Oh and the second most arrests at grounds 05/06.
http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/documents/football-arrests-0506?view=Binary
My point - all clubs have a minority who spoil their name - so those on here who come to rip the piss are just that - the minority.
Wow, brilliant.... best
Wow, brilliant.... best comment published so far - and i know for sure Chelsae and Man utd cant argue with this coz the proof's included the comment. Brilliant!
tv's worst
He' sactually a spurs fan, seen him in the shirt a few years ago. But NO real football fan makes amockery of the hurt the two incidents caused. Thats not what real football fans do !!!!! Contact his bosses get him off. david.sternberg@fox.com
Many LFC fans turned up late
Many LFC fans turned up late as there was traffic problems on the motorway.
The gate at Hillsborough was ordered open by Chief Superintedant Duckenfield, the guy in charge of the police opperation.
Liverpool fans not only helped set up a pitchside morgue and triage area, but risked their lives by going back time and time again to pull people from the crush (famously using advertising hordings as makeshift stretchers) and hanging down from the stands above to pull people free. Whilst all this was going on, the police had formed a protective cordon across the halfway line. They were protecting the forest fans. The forest fans however, luckily for them, were not lying on the side of the pitch with their lips turning blue.
For anyone who is interested in facts, there are many independant eye-witness reports on the web, as well as the findings of the Taylor report - which concluded that the reasons behind the disaster were poor police control and poor stadium design (the stadium didn't have a valid up-to-date safety certificate for example).
Also...
If Hysel was the only reason for the ban, why weren't LFC just punished? The ban was for the poor behaviour of English fans throughout the 70s and 80s. Hysel was simply the final straw.
Come on lads...
Come on lads why do we even have to talk or reply to ignorant and sick ppl like that..look at it like this ...chelsea is a gay team ...they are good players but the fans the club the atmosphere is just crap ...they envy what us at liverpool have ...a true bond with club and fans ...and i wouldnt look to much into what cheap scum of earth say about our history...coz its written in the books and we will rewrite it with more trohpies and more victories...why u chelski scum may ask .....COZ WE ARE LIVERPOOL!!!
hello
the discussion is impresive...
Hey, very interesting
Hey, very interesting post.
My written English is not so good so I write in German:
"Lieber den Spatz in der Hand, als die Taube auf dem Dach."
Yours sincerely

Re: disasters
for the fact that people come on here and make light of a tragedy (be it 2) and sit their and talk how great thier club is, is really just plain sad, that reporter on the radio making jokes about the whole thing should be sued by families of the fallen, to put him/ her in their place....it doesn't matter how it happend, it happend.
I wasn't there to do it or prevent it, but im not going to stand around why other supporters come up to me and tell me how bad we are and kick me in the bollocks.
Wheather you are chelsea or any other, were you tough, maybe but i've got over 20 books that tell me different, alot of supporters hated going to west ham and millwall....
so stop talking shite and show respect for the families of those who are unable to stand bodily by us in the stands and support the teams which they loved with all their heart.
thank you
ivan
im not afraid to give my name or to talk to anyone about this if you want i'll give ya my email also.
As a liverpool fan we cherish every moment and remember the past, we cant change it, but we learn and grow from it.
