Amelia declares Liverpool interest

Aemelia Livorno Goalkeeper Marco Amelia claims Liverpool are interested in signing him.

Amelia was part of the Italian World Cup winning squad, and is apparently in discussions over a new contract, but has today claimed Liverpool want to sign him.

"As for the contract renewal with Livorno, there have been talks between me, my agent, and president Aldo Spinelli and everything is okay, but the sign will arrive in the New Year,"

"Market? It's true there is an English side and as far as I know Liverpool are the one who insist more."

Speaking about being linked with Liverpool, and a few italian sides, Amelia said :
"Milan? Me and my father know nothing,"I'm happy to be linked to so many big sides like Milan, Chelsea, Liverpool and Juventus as someone says should Buffon leave.

"If Milan would like to sign me I think they would have to spend a lot of money and if they make this choice it will mean Dida will leave.

"My desire? If I could choose I'd come back home, that's to say at Roma, but there is a keeper, Doni, who is doing really good things and it's true also I have interest elsewhere."

How much truth is in this story is unknown, as Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has said he does not want to sell Jerzy Dudek, and we still have Scott Carson on loan at Charlton, so another keeper will spell the end for someone along the line if anything happens.

amelia is not the good choice

it's better for L.F.C to buy Frey (Fiorentina) than Livorno "GK"...beside he always in pretty good performance for every match, the Price is cheaper as well
