Where do you think we are going wrong away from home?

Liverpool have really struggled away from home this season in the league, losing to Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton and Manchester United; but what are we doing wrong to lose these important games?
A few people have been highly critical of Bolo Zenden after the defeat to Arsenal, the same people who were all singing his praises after the Bordeaux game at Anfield.
Then there is the argument that never seems to get old; Gerrard on the right or in the centre?
As Rafa keeps pointing out, he played there for most of last season, and no one was complaining then, but now it seems everyone in the press has to give their 2 cents to say Gerrard should be in the centre, the same people who were saying how great he is on the right after he was playing there for England.
Then there's rotation, one week its a good idea, next its bad. Then there are the stats of however many games with a changed side. If this is what we have to do to get results, then stick by it.
Why is away from home we can never get a goal, or get into any sort of momentum to beat these teams? We brought in players like Pennant over the summer, who seems to be getting a cameo role in the team at the moment, coming on towards the end of a game when it is already over.
What do you think is the solution?

I have never personally sung Zendens praise, from the first moment he came I didn't rate him. We are struggling away from home because of tactics. Every team has adapted to the new season but it seems where still feeling the effects of our knackerd strike force of last season. Alonso's impact is nil these days, momo never contributes with goal's crouch isn't prolific. Did we have a lucky season last yr and perhaps the best midfielder in europe. u bet your bottom dollar we did, so when his goals dry up and he becomes dissillusioned.... we find ourselves in trouble!
Away Form
Although rafa is definetely a good manager,he has got tactics wrong away from home,not playing gerrard centre against arsenal was criminal,he keeps putting him there when the game is lost,we don't even trouble thier goalkeeper on travels,so far pennant and bellamy look bad buys, come on rafa get the best out of them we can still have a successful season.

Well personally i think the players dont like playing in the yellow away kit, its too (whats the word) oh yes loud for players of their calibre.they feel weird playing in the shirts ...i know i would ..thats why i only bought the red and the away euro one....to be honest i have no clue why we are very poor away from home thats the only excuse i could come up with...there is no reason for being unbeatable at home and not being able to score a goal away from home ...same players same tactics same Rafa too..!!

No worries paul mate ill give rafa a call and give him a stern telling off ...besides from that i think Rafa will realise his mistakes and learn from them...there is no harm in trying out different things with the team...and yes i know now is not the time ..but seeing as we have played the big guns away and seen how bad we played (ecluding the chelski game) i think the worst is now over.
Its like a storm passing and then u see the sun after it ...i hope the sun shines brightly on saturday because i know we can beat borough and know we can beat anyone ...we have proven that b4 in champions league and FA cup were we beat Manure and cheslki.

Can't believe we couldn't score against such a poor Boro side. They were there for a beating but, yet again, our lack of match winners showed up. If Gerrard doesn't put the ball in the net you can't be sure the rest will.
Seeing Reading above us in the table at this stage of the season says it all. Blaming Rafa can only be true for so long; but there are too many good players doing nothing to win us matches. It's so frustrating and getting to the point where we'll be fighting with Villa or the Toffs for 4th if we don't wake up.
The players should be furious and just go out in the next games and wollop the opposition. Here's hoping...

Alright im running out of excuses for our team performance , after yesterdays game it says it all and if u think if gerrard scores the whole team will start to score ur mistaken.Gerrard isnt god!! and to be honest im tired of watching him play like he doesnt care ,its as if he wants tp play badly.I dont give a rats ass about his personal problem, your a pro and pro's get by their personal problems and start playing look at drogba ,he had personal problems didnt he ? Look at him now he has turned into world class.I think us thinking that gerrard is the only player in our team that can make us win is stupid.When he wasnt in the team we played alot better.I think its gerrard who should wake up , look how badly he is playing , coz to be honest if u saw kuyt gonzalez and agger yesterday , you would be saying the reds should be following them and not gerrard.Eleven players make a team and not one!! So lets stop putting the pressure on one and start to point fingers at players instead of taking the Shit out on Rafa .

Gonzales had a dissapointing game yesterday, his delivery was poor he lacked composure when it came to beating his man and he never hugged that touch line like we needed. Agger was impresive and Khyt hard working, true!
But to say stevie is intentionally playing badly is below the belt mate! He always gives 110% be it right bk left winger or utility striker and that it's fair to say has cost him in the long run. He's not the type to sit and moan he'll just get on with it and I think he's feeling taken advantage off right now! The boys are sevearly lackin in confidence to the extent individual creativity has gone. Where are the characters ?? rafa got rid of em and brings in crouch, Zenden, Humble alonso etc. When your in a battle would you really feel safe with them guys by your side? I dont think Gonzalez and Pennant were that good yesterday, but then again if we didnt score/win, we cant exactly say anyone was outstanding.
I think in January we are going to have to spend alot on a big name who has proven class, else this season could be Rafa's worst yet.

Tyron mate ..i dont want stevie to leave nor would i want jamie to leave either .We need home grown players to keep the spirit up.I know when i said stevie is playing badly intentionally was below the belt and i truly apologize, but is frustrating when ppl regard liverpool as a one man team which it isnt nad it never will be.The main problem i have with stevie is that his personal problems are causing his down fall , his determination to play in the centre where frankly didnt make any difference to when he was playing on the right.
Neither u nor i have ever been managers and to put the blame entirley on rafa is below the belt too.True he bought in new signings , but its safe to say that that for the last two years he has done wonders for us and no one can take that away from him.
Its never a managers fault. when he can win games at home and not away is totally the players fault, whats the difference ?? like i said same tactics same players sometimes and same manager...how long is lacking confidence going to end . i have to agree with u on one point about reina,he is shocking and i would trust him with a wall infront of goal let alone 4 defenders.
What rafa has to do is really start talking to the players and blaming them for their mistakes and not keep on saying that well we go a point its good and we had a clean sheet..i mean come on , its borough .Thats how u lack confidence ! but again thats just talk to the media u dont know what goes on in the locker room.
Jon arne riise is probably the only player who said "cowards give up" while our home grown jamie said its over.I dont think we will win the EPL this season, but to give up so early on is total rubbish.Believe it or not ,if all the players get their act straight we could start winning away and can start thrashing ppl at home,it takes time for the new lads so we'll give em that .Yes im very optimistic but i was optimistic in the CL final and we won,you know why?....coz we are liverpool and the players have to realize that.

But to be honest the EPL is long gone , we have the team to mount a decent champions league challenge and make top four and we've qualified for the next stage of the comp. However things ain't right. Many people would say that it isn't a matter of confidence cos we have good form at home, but then again when you play infront of the Kop you can't help but feel confident from the passionate supporters. teams come to anfield and can't believe the atmosphere and then we really do have the 12th man. Last season Alonso was a far more productive player we had and so was stevie. It's no coincidence that when he's not firirng on all cylinders that we are struggling same go;s for xavi. Look at assnal without Henry there form dips and it's the same for a handful of top clubs. while I don't wanna portray us as a 1 man team but the guy stevie is the heart beat and he's come 2 our resuce many times. Now he's not happy and it's there for all to see on the pitch, the rest of the lads look like they have run out of ideas or aren't allowed to do there thing. And that lies squarely on Rafa's shoulders. How he can have a team of internaltionals not playing good ball is beyond me. Well then the next alternative is that the players are showing there discontent via there play - cos if you had a manger u genuinely loved/like what ever u'd put your hand thru the fird for him. The boy ain't and they ain't shite!
