From June 2006 Adidas will be the new sponsors of the Reds, could this be a real sneak preview of the home shirt or some good photoshopping?

Well there is someone here who has watched Kuyt play for a few years now. I have watched him play since his days at Utrecht where he was the star of the team. He has looked much better than he showed in the WC though.
I have wanted him to transfer to us for at least 2 years now and hope that this is the year!

Kuyt is quality, ok he didnt set the world alight in the world cup, with his displays, but he is a great target man and if the supply from the wings is good, then the goals will fly in. Joaquin is class, he has a good turn of pace and excellent close control along with the ability to put in great crosses, i think Joaquin would be a better prospect than Alves. Also i would love to see someone like Damian Duff at Anfield, like Joaquin he has great pace and skill

14 million is too much for Bentley. He looks a talented lad but Liverpool can't afford to take a £14 million risk like that on a player who was rejected at Arsenal.
We paid over the odds for Pennant and seen what happened. No, rather than pay £14 for a player of questionable talent at the highest level, we'd be better to pay £20 for a Ribery or Quaresma.
Remember, Real Madrid always said that when they paid high fees for stars they made back the transfer fee in shirt sales on the player over a few years. Ribery or Quaresma are better than Bentley and also have star power to sell jerseys to make up their higher fee.
Torres shirts sell more now than Gerrard so that shows that a star player can pay for his own fee in merchandising - if they club market the players right like ManUre have done for years.
We need one more WORLD CLASS attacking player alongside Torres and Gerrard. Benitez must put whatever money he has to spend and make sure he buys a super player, quality not quantity is needed now.

Top players cost big money I cannot see any of the players mentioned going for less than Barry 12m Henry 15m Eto 25m Rbery 20m Alves 20m Ramsey 5m that assuming the clubs are prepared to sell. what we do need, is full backs, that can defend , pass the ball, take players on and cross the ball. all are defenders ever do is pass back.or hoof it, i am a big fan of carra but his distrubution, is poor he just boots it anywere. yea there are times when you have to but he allways does it.its just as well he is a superb defender. at reading the game,and tackling.because if you count how many back passes we do its wrong. are defenders look poor going forward, they run then turn back and pass back.we need players that are comfortable with the ball.a skillfull winger is a defo, we do lack that type of player, someone who can go past players, and make space, for him and other players.in the summer rafa will have to buy right this time as the prem is the one we all want...

Gareth Barry- top priority?
I really think are biggest priority is to sign Gareth Barry.
We dont have too many versatile players in our team. Riise was one but i thibk Rafa will sell him this summer and he has had a poor season honestly.
Barry fits in the Liverpool system perfectly . The 4-2-3-1 system that Rafa has been playing of late , Barry fits in perfectly sittin in front of the defenders with Mascherano. If Rafa goes for a 4-4-2 formation then Barry can easile fit in as left wing or left back and will do a good job as he has played in these positions over the years at Aston Villa.Besides him being left footed gives are midfield much needed dynamism and can take free kicks , corners, which will let Stevie G to push up forward.
He is proven player. He will cost us but the options he gives us are far more than what Ribery or QUaresma, or Bentley can bring.
Gareth Barry should be our priorty this summer .

I would be severely disappointed if we sign most of that list of nobodies. They won't lift us from where we are now above ManUre and Chelsea over 38 games. We've signed this Degan guy on a free tranfser; let's hope he's not another Veronin type player from the Bundesliga. I doubt he will be any better than Finnan or Arbeloa.
Maxi Rodrigues is a good player, did well at the World Cup. I wouldn't mind him. But we need an Henry, Owen, Berbatov super striker if we're not buying a super winger. We need AT LEAST one more world class matchwinner to go with Gerrard and Torres. None on the list come near that category.
As for this Athletic Bilbao centre back, have we not got 4 centre backs for next season? Why on God's earth do we need to buy another guy who'll be a reserve player? Should we not focus on the first 11?
Rafa Benitez has done no better that Houllier in the Premier League. Next season he needs to open his eyes and not be left behind by xmas like we've been every year since he arrived.

Here we go again - the target signings mentioned in the Press reflect the Manager. Workhorses, no superstars - just exactly what he likes to manage. No title next year then - can we take anymore of so and so can sit next to Mascherano and cover the back four - we need quality wingers with guts and pace and a class act up front with Torres. Too many drawn games has cost us this season - what are we trying to do consolidate this years performance - bloody madness.
