There would be plenty of strikers in our reserves that would jump at the chance of playing 4 the first team! i.e:- el zahr,brouwer,simon,nemeth,lindfield these are all strikers in the reserves itching 2 get there chance 4 the first team and they should be given the chance 2 prove what they can do 4 the first team coz they cant be any worse that kuyt or voronin can they! rafa needs 2 start playing some more of the reserve players coz 4 all we know one of the strikers ive named could be the next michael owen we wont know unless that twat plays them! what other options does he have? apart from step down as manager!!!

yes they should get the chance to come through the ranks at liverpool,Stevie G,Jamie carragher,Fowler,all came through the ranks,so yes like any young footballer,the chance to play for one of the best club in England and in Europe,is a dream come true.
you never know we could have the next Stevie G or Carragher to come through the ranks,also we won't have to pay big money for big time charleys which are overated and overpaid(kewell,Sissoko,Pennant,Voronin,)

i'm desperate to see young players, especially liverpool born players come through the ranks, but the fact is under benitez i can't see it coming, in the future i'm sure if he stayed in charge he would bought more crappy players that would make liverpol a mid table team,

players like sissoko, aurelio, kuyt, voronin, pennant are overated and they never deserve a place in the first team, it broke my heart when benitez sold mellor and warnock, because to me they are good players, all they need just a trust and decent chance to play for the first team. their only mistake maybe was because they're not SPANISH!!!!

for now, i think lindfield deserves a chance, he can do better than kuyt and voronin, but unfortunately rafa already loan him to some league one team, so maybe el zhar is the one who should have a chance,

then i hope when anderson come back to mellwood from swansea, the manager will sold pennant and given his place to paul anderson

without sounding direspectful to former red men, i really dont think mellor and warnock where any better than most of the players rafa has brought in. Mellor was given a decent run in the team scored few goals, some brilliant goals in euro but i always thought he was that little bit short of pace and guile up front and would be moved on. warnock came on strong in his first seasons but faded and needed to be moved on, and we had better full backs at the time. some home grown players just arnt good enough. not everyone will be a fowler or owen. besides if you buy quality it doesnt matter where they come from, formby or freemantle, merseyside or madrid. Who is winning the league for manure and arsenal, its not english players, its portugese and french and spanish and african etc etc. i wouldnt swap alonso, mascherano, torres etc for any english player who breaks through at the moment. we should give the youngsters a chance and fa cup match is ideal, but not just because they are british, but because they are good enough.

Paul Anderson scored his 9th goal for Swansea last night, and by all accounts is having a great season whilst out on loan. He is currently Swansea's 2nd top scorer, and the Swans are riding high.

According to reports Anderson has pace to die for , and obviosly an eye for goal, the sooner we get him back to Anfield and put him in the first team the better,We are crying out for a top quality winger. Lets hope the clown Benitez recognises that fact and gives Anderson a run in the team . Pennant is just a workhorse , devoid of ideas, lacking in pace, and can't score to save his life. OK I concede that Anderson is playing at a lower level , but he has been outstanding , whatever way you look at things he should be given a chance, its not as if were overloaded with top quality wingers now is it ?

I am very concerned at the lack of young players being given an opportunity by Benitez, he has been at the club for nearly 4 years now , and yet nobody has come through our system. Either the system is flawed, or Benitez is stopping these players. I find it hard to believe that there arnt any youngsters within our club good enough for our first elevan.

Other teams are not slow in giving there youngsters a chance to shine, Arsenal we all know about, Ferguson allways gives youth a chance, then look at West Ham , Villa, and Man City. Why is it we don't do the same ?????

I'd prefer to see El zhar replace pennant and shift benayoun to the left allowing Babel to go upfront..
Or Get Nemeth promoted as striker, and send Kuyt in reserves till he learns how to score.
As for Crouch, if we get a good price for him, its better we sell him, or we can keep him to play as a substitute, but not with just 15 mins left, he should be sent on the field by the 6oth minute.
But still think Nemeth can do better job than Crouch, kuyt or voronin.

However we are talking about Rafa who has a `star' foreign player first team mentality and anyone else is "for the future". Over and over again we say the same thing but Benitez will not change it. My bet is that even against Havant he will be cautious!!!
