im starting to get worried about Mascherano. it seems as though the owners will not hand over the £17m required to buy him although rafa is keen 2 keep him and javier wants to stay.
i hope this but out from dubai happens soon and then we could seal mascherano. i would prefer we got him instead of buyin a top class striker to partner torres, and buy a striker in the summer. Mascherano has proved he is worthy of playin for us despite being poor for the hammers. playin him in the midfield has offered gerrard the option of pushing forward to help in the attacks and he has scored alot more goals this season playin alongside a holder than he did last season out on the right.

i think you couldnt be more right, gerrard is gonna score 25goals a season (all comps) with mascherano. so iv we can keep hold of him it wud certainly be better than a striker for torres.
Alonso was nvr a holding midfielder and nvr will be, so it does ask the question is he going to become a squad player iv we keep mascherano?
also we need a winger more than anywere else on the pitch you get DIC to buy out and give us 20mil for a winger, torres would score 30+(allcomps)

agree totally with you and payner444, i said a while back that the 1 person we need to sign is mashcerano and i still believe this now, there isnt a better holding midfielder out there who can give gerrard the freedom to roam and hurt other teams when he gets the chance to do so,i believe gerrard plays better and i think gerrard prefers to play alongside javier than alonso and sissoko and if we let him go then it will be a major mistake on our part.i still think we are 1-2 good players away from a title challenging side and if we can get another good quality crosser of the ball then we will see an even better torres who will bang more goals in. i said before the only other thing we need to do is find our best eleven and stick to it, there is too much rotation and the reason we are falling behind is because the likes of scum utd and arsenal is they know there best team and they dont change it every game, players need to learn who makes what runs and where and if we keep changing then they will never get used to one another.
if we got two quality wingers and played babel up front with torres.stevie,nando and babel would get a glut of goals no dobt about it but what decent wingers are available?queresma or joe cole maybe? love you all peace out red til i die!
yupe, Mascherano is important and should be sealed as soon as possible, I think v do not need some high profilic wingers at Anfield. wat v really need is a relaible defender which till now i dun c it coming
