D.I.C RUMOURS?
According 2 the observer news paper 2day the arab group D.I.C are close 2 lodging an offer 2 buy the yanks out rumoured 2 be for £500m discussions are thought 2 be due b4 the end of this month and also said if succesful DIC will invest heavily in 2 areas the new stadium and the financial clout 2 keep up with the big 3. the DIC group is led by an avid liverpool fan Sameer Al Ansari. (this is an article from paper)if succesful they would also acquire a new management team jose morinho, who is known to be interested in managing liverpool, would be a prime candidate read in 2 that what u will guys do u think there is a chance this could happen? or do u think its just paper talk? what u think? i dunno about u guys but id be so chuffed if DIC bought out the yanks c'mon lets be having them lets start a petition guys! bringing in DIC will help us no end we will be competiting with the top 3 and get our new stadium bk on track fingers crossed D.I.C buy the yanks out!!!
I hope it happens , from what Ive seen of Hicks and Gillet they appear out of there depth. If DiC can come in with finance for the new stadium, and give the manager finacial support in the transfer market then I'm all for it. Hicks & Gillet make a nice profit and everybody is happy. The only loser would be Prick Parry who sanctioned the initial deal in the first place. Im sure the new owners will get rid of the buggling Benitez so job done, the sooner the better I say.
I have never trusted the Hicks/Gillet combo. They made a promise not to undewright the debt used to purchase LFC with the club as security (a la MUFC). I simply dont trust them to keep it. In order to attract top-class players (Currently Carra, Macca, Stevie and Torres fit in this category). LFC will need regular cash investment until a larger staduim enables a better turnover. I dont believe the yanks are willing or capable to meet this investment. DIC are known to be lifelong fans of LFC, have deeper pockets and are therefore able to offer a more stable future. I bet the LFC board is horrified with the bungling yank deal: get rid asap. On Benitez - he will have to borrow Wengers' scouts in order to identify cut-price young talent - his major weakness as a manager has been his cost effectivness. Too many average players. We will have to wait and see how recent buys turn out, but Sissoko, voronin, kuyt: you are good but not good enough for LFC. Given the funds equivelent to man-u or chelsea, i do not doubt his ability to lead us back to where we belong and wipe the smile of SAF's ugly mug.
Whilst Rafa can frustrate beyond belief, i am apalled by the actions of the Americans who it would appear are determined to sabotage the season with their grossly unprofessional behaviour. No wonder the team is playing badly. I for one have changed to Wilkinson Sword.
i have just read an article saying that hicks/gillet had already lined klinnsman up for the managers job before he joined bayern munich. how the fcuk is a man meant to manage a club when the owners are constantly making statements that are bound to dishearten him. fuck the yanks off now and bring in d.i.c who obviusly will have the clubs intrest at heart and not there wallets!
