Should we play Torres against Chelsea???
Should we play Torres against chelsea?? With games likes Portsmouth at the door, and loads of pressure from the Christmas games, wouldn't it be better to give torres a rest against Chelsea?? Is that game so important? Can we risk getting our players injured for such a cheap cup game? I'd rather see us playing kuyt and Crouch in those games alongside reserves players, knowing if they get hurt they will only help our team for better performance in the EPL and provide less rotation...unless of course Rafa has in mind to sell one of them.
Does it really matter if we lose against Chelski?? I know, as always loads of people will want Benitez's head if we lose... But for me it doesn't matter, we win or we lose, both are good for the club.
So lets field a reserve team and see the future prospects.

I WANT US TO WIN THIS GAME BUT THINK WE SHOULD REST HYPIA AND TORRES , WE HAVE A LOT OF GAMES OVER XMAS / NEW YEAR AND CANNOT AFFORD TO DROP ANY POINTS MY TEAM WOULD BE REINNA ARBELOA CARRAGHER HOBBS AURILIO GERRARD LUCAS ALONSO KEWELL CROUCH KUYT, CHELSEA WILL BE WITHOUT TERRY AND DROGBA. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE SPEARING AND EL ZHAR PLAY A PART ALSO.
I agree with u criticalmind there is no need 2 play our top players in a mickey mouse cup like that i dont care if we lose that game coz its worthless really isnt it? we should field a reserve side that will give rafa the chance 2 have a look at what he has but c'mon this is rafa nothing is a certainty with him is it?
we have some good reserve players, let them play. because everton spurs, are playing , there full teams in this compation, if we draw them in the next round, especially everton. there could be some nasty injuries . no we don;t need this, if the kids do well so be it...
chelsea have come around at the wrong time, fielding a team of youngsters if were honest is going to lead to a big defeat, if it was a lower placed team we could field 2nd string and hopefully win. giving reina and riise a run out would be ok, hobbs and auerilo, kuyt, babel,sissoko, kewell and alonso,nothing wrong with playing our best keeper and kewell and babel need games, auerlio needs fitness and riise needs to recover his touch as does mommo, so keep him playing. that would be the spine of my team filled with a few youngsters, mayber the hungarian lads we are all hearing about. and levia to given a run out. Those names are good enough to give chavski a run for their money, and could even win. if we lose by fielding a hopeless team if does nothing for us, as we are out of the comp, but if we stay in it, we will have other games to keep playing the 2nd string in and that gives us competitive matches to get the best from lads who are short of practice,
