WAS THAT OUR STRONGEST SIDE ?
WAS THE TEAM THAT PLAYED MARSEILLE OUR STRONGEST TEAM ? PERSONALLY I THINK FOR EUROPEAN GAMES IT WAS , I WOULD HAVE AGGER IN FOR HYPIA BUT OTHER THAN THAT WOULD HAVE KEPT EVERYONE ELSE AS IS. I HONESTLY BELIEVE KUYT IS MORE SUITED TO EUROPEAN GAMES HE GIVES 100% AND DOESNT ALLOW DEFENDERS ANY TIME ON THE BALL. BENNYOUN TO MY MIND IS OUR BEST OPTION OUT ON THE RIGHT, AND KEWELL IS OUR BEST OPTION ON THE LEFT. HAVING STEVIE G WITH MASCH IN THE MIDDLE ALLOWS STEVIE TO GET FORWARD.HAVING BABELL AND CROUCH ON THE BENCH ALSO GIVES US OPTIONS IF THINGS ARN'T GOING TO PLAN, BOTH USUALLY MAKE AN IMPACT IF THEY COME ON. I ALSO THINK 4-4-2 IS OUR BEST FORMATION , WOULD YOU AGREE ?
Thats what i've been saying, Kuyt is not really useless coz he has a great role as second striker in Champions league game, we paid so much for him and nobody want him for that price, so better use him for something BUT not in the EPL, he sucks there.
And as you pointed its good to have Babel, Crouch and Lucas as subs.
But for EPL, as second striker i would prefer Voronin to play alongside torres coz he has the rapidity and vision that rouch lacks..Crouh may get 1-2 goal occasionally but he can't help Torres in any way, he is too slow for those quick pass that torres need, and if we are getting good price for him so why keep him and give rise to more rotation..we'll still have babel, and may be a better striker who has an eye for goal.
As for Riise, i don't think he is that great, Arbeloa defends much better than him and can construct in the game while Riise just smash the ball anywhere, whenever he has it instead of trying something better.
Eddie, I think we should play riise on the left and sell kewell! Kewell will just get injured again.
Lets drop kewell for the united game and start kuyt and torres. I think they work well togethter
If we play Kuyt upfront in the EPL it will be as if we are playing with only 10 players from our team and one of us is defending for the other team, thats how kuyt plays when he is up there in the EPL, whenever he got the ball, the game is so compact that he don't know what to do with it and send it backwards, he is either running at the corner post wtih the ball, he sucks in the League, we need strikers able to link up, be there to take chances, not a headless hiken doing cros country on the field!!
