A SUPERB PERFORMANCE TONIGHT, A REAL TEAM EFFORT. WOW DID WE GET OFF TO A GREAT START OR WHAT ? TORRES'S GOAL WAS TOP DRAWER, EVERY PLAYER RAN HIS GUTS OUT AND DID THERE JOB.I THOUHJT TORRES STEVIE G BENYOUN KEWELL MASHERANO WERE SUPERB, OUR DEFENCE WAS ROCK SOLID.
NOW LETS SEE A REPEAT PERFORMANCE AGAINST OUR BIGGEST ENERMY. WE LOOK SO MUCH BETTER PLAYING A 4-4-2 FORMATION. AN EXCELLENT NIGHTS WORK WELL DONE.
Delighted we're through!Good performance overall,I just hope now that rafa sets the team up for the Man utd game with as few changes as possible,we have 3 cups depending on our performance in the next week.Now that weve beatin marseille thats our business in the CL done and out of the way,I just hope now that we play as effectively against Man utd and Chelsea and get our season back on track
It was a top of the draw performance, and a no nonsense team selection, i still think he could have played that team on saturday and got 3 points as well as last night victory, but just glad we are through to last 16, man utd could not be coming to town at a better time for us, i'd play the exact same team, they have more than enough time re-cuperate, if LFC and chelsea win on sunday it really will close everything up at the top, hope kewell can stay injury free, the left side is all his if he does, i like the way babel comes on and scores nearly all the time, i'd like to see babel and torres as a pairing sometime, as they are better finishers than the others, got to say good finish from kuyt though as have been very critical of nearly everything he has done or not done this season, really looking forward to sunday now, c'mon rafa keep me smiling.
