Marseille and Besiktas were looking forward to playing us because of our history,they were looking forward to playing on the same pitch as Gerrard,Carragher etc.Neithear of them were expecting to take home 3 points and both of them have.We're flattering teams,making them look better than they are,we got the easiest group in the CL and we're bottom.What a joke,with the quality we have we should have 9 points now but Benitez does not know how to use that quality in the best way possible.

Regardless of his 2 penalties over the weekend,how Kuyt plays so often is incredible.What is he??He's like a mix between a midfielder and a striker.With a few minutes to go in the match tonight he was in our box defending a corner when he should have been up front.Babel on the left???Why not bench Pennant and start Babel on the right with Benayoun on the left.Benayoun in my oppinion is one of the most deserving players of a starting place in the team.Everytime he's called on,even if it's for ten minutes he puts in a good performance,he gets forward,creates chances and scores goals

If you dont know how best to use the players you have in your squad you shouldnt be in charge,I find it hard to see us winning much this season

Crouch should have started. He gives us something different rather than two similar players in Kuyt and Voronin.

i think gerrard should give up the captain band & give it 2 some1 who really deserves it at the moment yes he is a good player but from what i have seen lately he is not putting his all in no wonder veronin was free he is crap like i keep saying pennant is a waste of space so wot if kuyt had 2 pens in on saturday big deal he still no good i think every1 was running around like headless chickens 2 night

LIVERPOOLS PERFORMANCE TONIGHT WAS SO PREDICTABLE, WE FIRSTLY LACKED PUNCH UP FRONT BOTH VORRONIN AND KUYT WHERE ABOUT AS MUCH USE AS A FART IN A WET FART IN A PAPER BAG, PENNANT YET AGAIN DID NOTHING NEVER BEAT HIS MAN , AND DIDNT PUT A DECENT CROSS IN ALL NIGHT. OUR MISFIELD SEEMED INCAPABLE OF PASSING THE BALL TO A RED SHIRT, HOW MANY TIMES WAS THE BALL GIVEN AWAY ? ONLY GERRARD AND BABELL APPEARED INTERESTED AND THE ENTIRE TEAM LACKED PASSION. WE WERE SO ONE DIMENTIONAL IT WAS UNTRUE, HOW MANY TIMES HAVE WE SEEN LIVERPOOL PLAY LIKE THAT THIS SEASON, CLUELESS , ADVENTURELESS, USELESS, THE TEAM LACKS ANY COHESION. ONE THINGS FOR SURE THE YANKS WON'T STAND FOR MUCH MORE OF THIS NONSENSE , NOT QUALIFYING FOR THE LATER STAGES OF THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE DEPRIVES US OF AROUND 25M, PERFORMANCES LIKE TONIGHT REALLY MAKE YOU QUESTION WHAT WE ARE DOING, AND WHERE THIS TEAM IS GOING.

get rafa out i say, and we can still save our season. its an embarressing how the team is playing these days. our midfield is non existent , we lack the killer instinct up front wihtout torres , and the defense is in shambles. its so frustratin i dunno what to say.

I have to say I watched the match last night. Not one player played well maybe except benayoun. The defence played the long ball all the time and it is no wonder as the midfielders couldn't string a pass together. Kuyt and Vorinin kept getting in each others way. Pennant spent most of his time running back towards hiw own goal with the ball. It should be a walk in the park for a Liverpool team with carragher,Gerrard,Kuyt etc to beat a poor Besiktas team. I believe Chelsea, Man U and Arsenal would have strolled against this team. Nobody wanted the ball and consistant players like finnan and Riise were off their game also.
