Rafa and rotaton
Lads, like it or not (and I know most of us don't!) as long as we have Rafa as our manager we will have rotation. And it does make sense with the number of matches our first team sqaud will play each season for their country and LFC. With the January window approaching I see that we have topics devoted to Rafa's shopping list etc, etc., but my opinion is that he has the players he wants. To buy more would seem to me to only worsen the problem with the overload of players unable to get regular games. My view on this would of course change if he was to offload say two or three in January. I think Peter Crouch may be on the outer and possibly Sissoko when Agger and Alonso return. Let's hope all the boys return fit and well from international duty and we MUST win at Goodison. George
WHY DOES ROTATION MAKE SENSE ? I SAY THE OPPOSITE I SAY IT MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL.YEARS AGO WHEN LIVERPOOL USED TO WIN EVERYTHING IN SIGHT THE TEAM USED TO PLAY 60 GAMES A SEASON, AND AS ALAN HANSN SAYS THE TEAM COULDNT WAIT FOR THE NEXT GAME. WHEN YOUR WINNING IREDNESS DOESNT COME INTO IT. I'M ALL FOR CHANGING THE TEAM FOR TACTICAL REASONS, OR WHEN PLAYERS ARE INJURED, OR PLAYING BADLY, BUT RAFA CHANGES HES TEAM WHEN PLAYERS RE PLAYING WELL ?
I AM GETTING P*SSED OFF WITH ALL THIS ROTATION NONESENSE, IT IS COSTING THE TEAM, AND AS IVE SAID BEFORE MAY COST RAF HE'S JOB. SOMEBODY NEEDS TO TAKE RAFA TO ONE SIDE AND HAVE A WORD WITH HIM. ITS OK SAYING IT WORKED IN LA LIGA BUT THE PREMIERSHIP IS A FAR HARDER LEAGUE TO PLAY IN. I LIKE RAFA AND BELIEVE THAT IF HE CHANGED HES WAYS AND PLAYED A SETTLED TEAM WEEK IN WEEK OUT THAT WE WOULD ULTIMELY WIN THE PREMIERSHIP, I JUST HOPE RAFA CHANGES HE'S ATTITUDE OTHERWISE WE WILL CONTINUE THE WAY WE ARE DROPPING POINTS TO TEAMS WE SHOULD BE BEATING.

I'M FROM THE SHANKS ERA ONWARDS AND YOU ARE SO RIGHT WHEN YOU SAY THAT A WINNING TEAM JUST WANTED TO PLAY ON. HOWEVER THOSE WERE THE YEARS WHEN INTERNATIONALS WERE NOT SO FREQUENT NOR WAS TRAVEL INTO FAR FLUNG PARTS OF EUROPE, AND DIDN'T ENGLAND ALWAYS PLAY THE GRUDGE MATCH AGAINST SCOTLAND AFTER THE END OF THE SEASON? WE ALL AGREE WITH YOU THAT WE HAVE TO STOP DROPPING POINTS TO TEAMS WE SHOULD NOT JUST BE BEATING, BUT BEATING THEM BY AT LEAST TWO CLEAR GOALS. George
ur right about rotation with rafa ,he has to improve on last season or there will b so serious question raised by our owners !!! they r successful me so would they put up with the problems that rafa cause with 5-8 changes most weeks. on ur other point i think that they should be able 2 play 60+ games a season they're all a lot fitter than the 80's & 90's team of the past !!! and they paid well 4 doing it
It's clear that it doesn't work. the proof is in the results that we have been getting. Every time there is a major change we draw or even worse lose. This isn't isolated to this season. Rafa would leave out key players last season as well and look what happened then. We got thumped by Arsenal in the league and cup at home......unheard of in the glory days!
i know from playing myself that itwas a nightmare just incase we got dropped for playing bad but what must it be doing to the players that no matter how well they play they're likely 2 b dropped in the next game in peter crouches case his confidence is shot 2 pieces ,he gets 1 game in 4 lucky 2 b on bench the other 3 games so much 4 last season top goalscorer maybe january needs 2 come bit sooner 2 move on
Crouch only score a hatrick against arsenal after bvreaking his nose, what else he did for the team apart from scoring against wigan, watford and derby etc..
He did score against Toulouse, but wa it really so hard???
We need strikers who can score goals, not just make assists!! What confidence does he need more, he has not been scoring and when given the chance he did not scored again, so wtf is he doing in the training!! learning to lean on opponents or robot dance???
calm down forgot the prozac !! listen all i was saying is the guy hasn't played that much that's bound to bother him it would any player ! i can c you don't rate him neither do i much but i bet u still cheered his 18 goals last season !
