Rafa has to take the blame, it's his team, i mean we were creating chances and then scoring for fun before the pompey game, some games you don't have to be a tactical genius, we hardly troubled the brum keeper i hear, i'm pissed off with him leaving torres on the bench, it's like he is being punished for scoring 2 against derby, he seems to think players won't last the season without his "i am god" knowledge, we were a run away train before pompey, all of a sudden the players don't know what the hell they are doing, it's early days, we can still win plenty and win big, but from the elation of being top, we seem to be needlessly letting things slip, crap so far chelsea or utd could be ABOVE US tomorrow, speaks volumes.

Its his tactics that are making the players back to defence.

Like i said in another post, if we were to get rid of Rafa now (which i do NOT want to happen), then we would only have the same crap over and over, ie "allowing time for the new players to gel" , 'giving the manager time' etc. We dont need a new project, where we give someone a few years to get things right.

Yeah we had a shite result today against Birmingham, but to say get rid of the manager is wrong. He made a bad decision in selecting Kuyt and Voronin, but had one of them scored then everyone would have been saying it was a genius move, rotating his strikers, keeping people fresh for the other games, its a no win situation.

I was Rafas biggest fan but now there's no defence for him,he rested Torres last week and I thought okay maybe hes just resting him for the Porto game and he'll be back in the starting line up next week..NO!!a week later and our 20 million pound striker's on the bench again and for what??keeping him for the reading match??He will lose the form and confidence he had at the start of the season and we'll have 4 strikers being juggled around for the rest of the season and no doubt none of them scoring many goals.

There's no excuse for doing that,thats 4 points dropped within a week and it's a sign of things to come,we've a tough couple of games coming up soon including Spurs and Arsenal and maximum points were needed against Pmouth,Birmingham and Wigan so we could go into those games on form and with plenty of confidence

OK, we think Torres should have played. But he was shit midweek in Porto like the rest. Rafa felt Voronin and Kuyt would work better to break down Birmingham.

He knows the team better than anyone so it's up to him and to tell you the truth the team was still good enough to win that game. The players and Rafa let us down today.

The only thing that annoys me about Benitez is that he over complicates games against the likes of Birmingham. He thinks about the best way to tactically beat them and get the points. This is something small clubs do to Liverpool not the other way around. We should do that against the other big teams and just go out against the likes of Birmingham and enjoy our football and thrash them.
Calling for Rafa's head is childish to say the least.

Being Canadian, I have never understood this soccer bit about changing players to keep them fresh. Hockey players play 4 or 5 grueling, physical, pounding games a week. There's no moving guys in and out of the lineup. So what, a soccer player can't play a weekend game and a midweek game in Europe???? Why? Are soccer players not in shape??? We all know soccer players are among the best athletes in the world. It should be no problem to player two games or even 3 in a week. And a team needs to gel. It needs to learn about each other. The players need to find that special comfort zone where things come naturally. That happens when you play together. How can Liverpool ever get this with Rafa's ridiculous subbing system? And you spend huge dollars on a super striker and then sit him out??? What's with that?? I don't understand any of it, but SCOUSE's post doesn't seem childish to me...it seems smart.

if liverpool ever want to win the premiership, they have to sack rafa. Jose can be a good manager. wwe need a manger that sticks with a winnig team and not make so many changes until the players are confused and want to leave the club.

rafa shud build his attack around torres.
we all know he is a fantastic player and he can be partenerd with voronin, kuyt or crouch tactically as needed. but make him the fulcrum of attack. and anyways cant rafa experiment with the team i the FA or CARLING CUP? why in the league and europe. Arsenal (i hate them but have to say this) play the same XI in n out n are turnin out some good performances. anyweays i dont think we shud let rafa go rite now. but if he doesnt do well this seasin, opinions change.

Is it my computer or is something wrong with the site, the n/a below is me, it's what happens when i want to post or even preview my comment, anyway i have calmed down now, only a little bit though, just read that rafa said leaving torres on the bench was tactical, the silly sausage, tactics my arse, rafa thinks he knows everthing about everything, crap team like brum come looking for a draw, s bruce was probably rolling around laughing that torres was sub, big sam was right that rafa has'nt got a clue when it comes to the prem, lets see when drogba, rooney or adebayor gets left on the bench for pulled out of thin air tactical reasons, even crouch had good claim to be on from the start in this sort of game, LFC never get rid of managers easily and probably too early to contemplate, but rafa is making sugar look like shit, from champagne to dirt water, having more players to rotate has just made it worse, changes through injuries or suspensions, 1 or 2 now and again, but start with your strongest team possible, get the game won and then you can tosspot about rafa "i have spoken to god" benitez.

Why spend £26 million on a striker that most of europe was after then leave him on the bench?
These are the games we should be winning by a good few goals to keep the momentum going, a few more games like this & a few more points dropped and we can kiss goodbye to the Premiership for this season.
