Heinze denied move

Gabriel Heinze's hopes of a move to Anfield were dashed this afternoon when the FA panel took Manchester Utd'd side in the now infamous letter debate.
This is a player Rafa really wanted to sign, so were do Liverpool stand now as far as the left back position is concerned? The boss is clearly not happy with Riise in that position and you get the feeling that Arbeloa will soon get found out on his weaker side.

Can we hold out until January?

HEINZE

HEINZE is a great Left-back and also a Center-back.Wish the deal had gone through.I think another defender should be signed during the next 10 days ....

Our visit to Sunderland

Yes let's move on from the Chelsea robbery. This week-end will show me if all Rafa's signings and cash outlay have been worthwhile. We MUST beat Sunderland. These are the `bread and butter' matches that LFC should win well and easily. They certainly were in Shank's day and yes, I know those days are well and truly gone, but we are a huge club who should be going to Wearside and coming away with AT LEAST a two goal win. All the preseason games are behind us, two premiership games have been played and the players now have to understand what each is supposed to do and where they should be at set pieces etc, etc. I DO NOT want to hear Rafa say he was pleased with a draw come late Saturday afternoon!!! George, Melbourne, Australia.
