Kuyt is he gonna score enough
Guys dont no if you agree and before you all say i do like kuyt his attitude and his passion, seen screaming encouragement on sunday, but he is employed as a goal scorer and in my opinion he doesnt look like scoring 12 a season let alone 15-20 which we need, think about this, crouchie isnt gonna be used for more than 20 games in the league, neither is voronin this season, torres is a big name and big pressure so will play most but its his first season, so this leaves KUYT, he is in his 2nd season with us now and should of adapted as most dutch do quickly in england, he is playing well and i love a red who says i will never stop chasing or lie down, but he needs to find that cutting edge do you not agree, Stevie G cant be expected to get 23 goals this season again and our wingers wont chip in more than 7 each at most, our central defenders dont score many, yes i no agger and jamie pop up but not that much, so Riise and Finnan, well finnan no but Riise could get maybe 4 or so, SO SO SO GUYS LIKE I SAID this leaves a goalscorer to stand up and be counted, for the reasons above it must be Kuyt he will play the most out of the other 3 left, so what to do? stop him dropping deep, push up more, For me this is our biggest problem, look at chelsea- they have drogba 20 goals a season, lampard 15 goals/ terry 4/ and a hatfull of wingers who always pop up with a few including that t##t cole / Manure have lost their 30 a season striker in van kneestillsore/ but have got rooney 15 a season/ronaldo 15-20 a season scoles 7/giggs 7/ ferdinand pops up and so does vidic, and tevez well i bet he gets close to double figures again in the league alone so were are we gonna get them from??????? Gerrard 15/alonso 4/torres 9/crouchie 9/ voronin 7/ riise 4/ carra and agger 4between them/ pennant maybe 4-6 so who who who it's Kuyt and is he gonna get 10-15 NOT THE WAY WE PLAYIN HIM NOW,
His movement was poor and also his first touch. I'm not sure about him at all. He seems a great bloke with a big heart and will keep running. But I'd rather someone with a bit more intelligence with regards to forward runs and positioning in the box.
He wasted some good opportunities in the area for us which could have been turned into chances.
I say swap Crouch for Anelka at Bolton and see how Torres partners up with him. Torres creates chances for himself and others and I think Anelka would thrive on this service. Also our midfield would have two forwards up there making good runs and more chances.
I hope I'm wrong, but I do think Kuyt is a lost cause and can't see him getting more than 10 or 11 league goals, if even that.
So PHILK14 you finally got my point about KUYT.As they say better late than never...
Yeah, but I wasn't defending Kuyt's abilities during our previous discussion. I was just trying to say there's no point getting upset over pre-season results.
But now the real business has started I think we all agree that he's not up to scratch. I think Voronin or Babel should be up front instead (All the Voronin bashers are very quiet these days).
Not a fan of Crouch and never will be. He's a headless chicken out there. Anytime I've seen him play lately he just gets in the way of his strike partner instead of making space for him our giving him a good run to pass to.
As before I would go with Crouch for a few games.He did the business MOST of the time he was on the pitch,also give Voronin a chance.Keeping Kuyt in the starting line up almost all the time is a mistake Rafa KEEPS making.
unless he starts scoring soon he should be droped. crouch is a better striker than him he might not work as hard, but he will score more goals.as will vornin kuyt time is running out for you its time to deliver.
THE DECISION ON HEINZE WILL BE MADE YOMMORROW, THE MANCS ARE HAPPY TO LET HIM LEAVE AS LONG AS ITS NOT TO US, HOW I HOPE THAT WE PUT THAT ARESH*LE FERGUSONS NOSE OUT OF JOINT. WHY IS IT THAT BOTH FERGIE AND MAUREEN ARE BOTH SO ARROGANT ? ARROGANT MANAGERS DIVING PLAYERS , HOW I HOPE WE BEAT THOSE SCUMBAGS THIS SEASON.
AS MUCH AS I LIKE THE GUY THE REALITY IS HE WON'T SCORE 20 PLUS GOALS THAT ARE NEEDED IF WE ARE TO STAND ANY CHANCE OF WINNING THE LEAGUE, SO HE NEEDS TO BE RELACED BY SOMEONE WHO WILL. CROUCH COULD GET 20 VOLONIN ? 15 ? BABEL ? . WHO DO YOU THINK WILL GET THOSE GOALS ?
