Torres & Kuyt 1st performance
So the two started against Villa. Torres looked keen but lashed one shot into the stands and had his main chance saved by Taylor at close range (which Kuyt picked up well and helped create the own goal)
Great start though, Torres/Kuyt to start against Toulouse/Chelsea?
Dont know FOAR mate..I would really prefer Kuyt playing behind torres..more like an AM.Not quite sure how and where the other strikers would fit in...its a toughy..would like to see babel up front and see what he has going in the striker role
I would like to see Kuyt, Torres, Crouch and Babel all up front. Just behind them would be Stevie and then the rest would be our defenders. 2 mid and 3 in front of Goalie.
Man we did played with four strikers on the field against Feynoord in preseason, yet none of them could scored in that game!!!!!
I'd rather prefer to see Kuyt sent top the reserve teams, and we he learn to score, then be brought back.
I don't give a shit about a workhorse in the team, we need a goalscorer, Torres has shown what he is capable of, but not Kuyt...he is just good at running around and standing with his back toward the opponents keeper and then sending the ball backward.
Look at the villa match again and u'll see how many balls he sent backward, which could have been of some use if sent to Torres or pennant or gerrard.
I THOUGHT KUYT PLAYED OK, HE'S WORKRATE WAS GOOD , HE HAD A FEW SHOTS AND MADE OUR FIRST GOAL.HE CERTAINLY WASNT OUR WORSE PLAYER. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN ALONSO HE'S PASSING WAS POOR.
Yeah i AGREE with u EDDIE888, may b the problem was not Kuyt. May b it was the fault of the goal scorers. they should have make space for themslves in order 4 them 2 score n 2 gather passes from the wingers or their strike partner.
