liverpool are no better than they were last season i was watching the feyenoord match they was playing the same football goin back more than they was goin forward we wont win the league this season either its the same old thing we need more players not heinze he's 2 old we need the young players that want 2 play 4 the club not just 4 the money.
kev.... how can you judge on a training excersize.that is all the preseason games are. we have brought better players in , let the crap go.eg bellamy, cisse, zenden. give the team a chance , a few games in to the season then judge. i too will be watching , and in due course give my opinon.
I did wrote the same comments in previous post...If four strikers on the field could not break a defence and score, how do u expect them to perform in the EPL???
Rouman...its not just about training..its also a show off of thequalities of the players...the strikers simply don't looks capable of bringing us as many goals as we need..thats the mere truth, we need to admit it.
We always send the ball back to the keeper..thats not the kind of play that brought the title to ManUre, Chelski, Assnal..they always played an attacking football, dynamiting the opponents with counterattacks and always sending the ball forward...we have not mount a proper conter attacks since years in the EPL...We have lazy strikers or better say unprofessional strikers who are always running behind midfielders whenever a player like gerrard or pennant do a great run...Crouch is still in midfield and Kuyt at the corner post...may be some things can change with the arrival or Torres...But its not gonna be drastic change coz Rafa has said we gonna see rotation...meaning we gonna see same scenario as last year in lots of matches, thus either losing or making draws..
So do u really think we gonna win the EPL like that???
While our opponents wil keep scoring 5-6 goals against teams we have made draws (e.g LFc-Bolton..0-1, Bolton-ManU 0-3 and lots like this)
If ever liverpool succeed to mount a serious challenge, they may still lose on goal average to ManUre :(
i knw the pre season hav make u a bit in dout bt liverpool will perform well because Mr Benitez will make a fantastic job.tores n voronin will score lots n yossi bennayoun will provide them,as well as pennant.Bennayoun has a good feet of dribbling n i still say he will help liverpool as Steven Gerrard will support him on midfield.As for alonso he is gud but not enough to play in liverpool.mark my words benitez will do something very interresting this season.just wait n see.the match against villa will prove it to u.nbabbel seems to b good but kewell is better in the left.

this is the real power that will make liverpool Champs of prem..wat r ur opinion about wat tactics or formations should liverpool use to win...
IT WOULD BE FANTASTICIF ANYTHING OF THE SORT HAPPENS VICKY BUT SADLY I THINK RAFA HAS OTHER THINGS IN MIND.HE TRIES TO BE OVER SMART AT TIMES.I SUPPOSE TORRES IS OUR MAIN STRICKER THIS SEASON,SO WHY RAFA IS NOT GIVING THE GUY A GOOD RUN INSTEAD OF PLAYING HIM FOR JUST 30 MINS PER GAME.IT WOULD HAVE BEEN IDEAL TO TRY A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN HIM AND(KUYT/CROUCH/VORONIN).I JUST HOPE HE IS NOT WAITING FOR THE SEASON TO BEGIN TO EXPERIMENT THESE COMBINATIONS WHICH I HONESTLY THINK WILL BE TOO LATE.
But all that we can do is to just wait n seee if against astonvilla tores will play or not...i hope wat u said will realise soon.u must agree the fact that gerrard is still the best player of ENGLAND
Harsh to judge on pre-season stuff. Chelsea at home for the second premiership game, now THATS a chance to see how we can perform against the top teams. I think it's great we have such a big fixture early on so the team will be fired up and will hopefully be full of confidence when we hopefully thrash Chelsea in front of the kop
Let's hope Benitez stays out of the ale house he went to the night before the Sheff U game last season.
liverpool will beat chelsea,arsenal,manchester,this season as liverpool seems to b great with tores hungry to score as well as voronin,,,benayoun ready to make defence dance....gerrard ready to rock the stadium as well as the fans will sing 4 glory every night liverpool is gonna play,,,pennant is really improving n he is dangerous.much more than ronaldo christiano...i hope the best 4 liverpool this season....MR benitez will do a gud job/..
